Reading the police report it likely won’t amount to too much. He will pay something and get maybe some form of probation or community service.

Lmao looking at Google maps and 22000 block of mariano in woodland hills looks like a pretty meh area with old, medium sized homes that are on top of each other.

Then you go to zillow and see 2 on those blocks with 7 figure asking prices and interiors that haven't been touched in 40 years.

Here's why this will go away. They guy covering this for the advocate has a new article out based on the police report.

The headline:

quote:

LAPD may have 'applied' force on Jaxson Hayes' neck during struggle at girlfriend's house
Use of force under investigation, says LAPD, which also twice shocked player with stun gun while investigating domestic dispute

and from the article:
quote:

The LAPD accused Hayes of fighting with officers while trying to prevent them from speaking to the woman. He is facing a count of resisting arrest. But the department said it is also conducting an investigation into whether officers’ use of force against the player — who was hospitalized for several hours — was justified.

LINK

Unless his girlfriend flips this on Jaxson and turns him into a woman beater, the press will go after the use of force by cops angle. There is no win in pursuing this for the City of Los Angeles.

Hayes’s attorneys I bet are going to be pretty aggressive about this. Frame the narrative. As they should.

Believing TMZ that he was arrested is fine, but there is tons of red flags in the article itself.

quote:

We're told law enforcement were called to an LA area home for a domestic disturbance early Wednesday morning ... and when cops attempted to check on the parties involved, 21-year-old Hayes tried like hell to keep them from entering the premises.

This is slanted heavily to make is seem like Jaxson was trying to hide something nefarious.

quote:

The brawl was allegedly so intense, police put out an "officer needs help" radio call.

Calling it a brawl makes it seem like there were multiple people fighting, but that clearly wasn't the case.

quote:

Hayes was taken to a nearby hospital to get treatment for minor injuries ... and an officer involved in the fight also sought treatment, although their condition is unknown.

Let you know Hayes was barely hurt, but unsure of the cop which leaves the door open to his being more serious.

quote:

Hayes is expected to be booked for felony battery on a police officer.

Hedging their bets with the worse possible charge that could be related to the incident.

Overall it is a terribly slanted article written to drum up clicks and shares, which it did. It could have been (and probably was) written by LAPD to defend their actions.

Yeah, the main thing wrong with the TMZ article is that it said that Hayes fought to keep cops out, which was not true -- he was trying to get back in.

This happened in LA, not La.

Random thing to take from your post, but aren't Los Angeles and Louisiana both LA?

I think technically one is LA and the other is L.A.

police report reviewing use of force against jax

I don't see the felony charge being mentioned anymore.

Well this makes it seem like far less of a big deal than it originally seemed

If will get pled down or could be thrown out. He has right to resist illegal arrest if there were no underlying criminal matter.

Just did a some very slight digging via instagram. Jaxson’s girl, Sofia Jamora has removed all of the couple pictures/posts with Jaxson from her Instagram. When the news initially broke she had at least a dozen or so of them up. She has also unfollowed Jaxson, but still appears to be following his siblings. Jaxson hasn’t updated/deleted her pics off of his page yet.

From Nola article, it seems less likely she flips.

quote:

The woman is allegedly not cooperating with the investigation into the purported domestic dispute, and Hayes hasn't been booked on any allegations of partner abuse.

Guys, guys calm down…. It’s in LA California. He will not get prosecuted for beating on cops. He will possibly get a medal, a key to the city and they will have a statue made of him and turn the area around the statue into a jaxson hayes memorial park. Geez fellas, no reason to get upset.

Gotta think the cop may be justified in some force. Guy was probably like 5'10 and ran into a fricking giant gumby freak.

Don't need a warrant for suspected domestic abuse.
