If Bridges is worth this, what is Ingram's value?

The new Villanova Knicks: The Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle on a trade to send F Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks for Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick via Bucks, an unprotected pick swap and a second-rounder, sources tell @wojespn.

Does Atlanta have a washing machine?

Now that’s what you call going all in.
I like Bridges but holy hell he is not that level of player.

At $50 million he's not worth much and thats what he wants.
I think he's worth another borderline all star guy like Murray or OG.

Bridges is in the same boat. His contract will be up soon and he'll also command a similar contract to what Ingram is asking for.

Ingram traded for 9 pick swaps

Knicks just made it harder to trade Brandon. Atlanta gonna be looking for a haul now.

He shoots 3s and plays defense. 2 things the modern NBA values and 2 things Ingram does not do

Not sure why the hawks could feel that way.

Holy overpay Batman! Good lord 5 1stand a pick swap!? For Bridges? Look I think Villanova players are more NBA ready a lot of the time but that was a ridiculous overpay. I’d have been happy to get 2 or 3 first round picks for BI. Now just go swap him for Dejounte Murray and go get Walker Kessler.

I think we gotta go in all for Trae. He listed us as one of the three teams he's interested in playing for.
Murray would be a fine backup option and I'd be cool with it, but not until we've exhausted every avenue of landing Trae Young first.

Knicks have made round 2 in consecutive years… if they expect to for the next however many years, their picks won’t have much worth and it’s time to go all in

I think Ingrams' value is quite a bit less. Bridges has great utility and is viewed as a 2nd to 3rd option on a championship level team. He fits with everyone and is an elite defender. Ingram is a bit more of an enigma that most are uncertain about fit and role on a contending team.
We need to strike fast though. We've already tanked his value by dangling him publicly. Perception will be that he's not desirable which will drive it even further down..

If the Knicks are healthy, they should have a very good team the next few years. Most of those picks are basically worthless

I don't think it has any indication of Ingram's value on a trade market. Every player has a different value to every team.
However, I do think we got a glimpse of their respective on court value when Bridges, (and Josh Hart and Austin Reaves) racked up huge minutes for team USA, while Ingram racked up DNP-CDs.

That makes literally no sense.

Bridges is more like a 3rd or 4th option and Ingram is similar around a 3rd option. If Ingram in his current state is ever a 4th option on a team that team is setting scoring records
We literally already saw Bridges in this role, where he was the 4th option on the Suns who almost won a title (Booker, Paul, Ayton, then Bridges). His impact on winning, post-Suns, has been lesser than BI's...in the shitty East.

Why does everyone think this makes the Knicks so much better? It only does if they keep OG. Otherwise it's an upgrade but not a huge one and at a major price.
Bridges is better offensively but can't guard bigs like OG.
