How do any of the players acquired make sense for a Willie Green coached team?

Poole
Fears
Queen

Pretty much opposite of Willie Green players. None of them are defensive guys and that is being kind. They can all get buckets though.

Some will need some clever schemes to get them going. Green doesn’t know what scheme means.

Now I think I know what the deal is: Dumars WAS told to keep Green. He wants an excuse to fire him and roster fit seems as good as any.

20 wins isn’t a good enough excuse?

I think Willie is just a figurehead coach right now. The style of play and who plays will be up to Dumars, and if Willie doesn’t like it, he will gone.

He may have won the power struggle with Griff, but Gayle will side with Dumars 10/10 times over Willie.

Agreed. People are worrying too much about Willie right now. He will have a very short leash.

Well dumars evaluated Willie green by talking to folks and listening mpre than talking. Think he talked to the wrong folks.

I'm going to give dumars a chance and not freak out.

This team constructed looks to be for an offensive oriented in and out team.

Guys who can play towards the basket, but can dish and move it outside for your shooters.

Fears - excellent driver, needs to work on his shooting
Queen - face and back to the basket game, needs to work on passing
Poole - at least in GS he was able to do it all
Murphy - plays above the rim or from deep
Missi - pick and roll
Zion - point zion
Bey and Jones - 3&D

Drafting anything for Willie Green is short sighted. But then again.... Last night happened.

My only concern or question is what is the vision for the new players. How will they work together in a lineup or rotation? You can’t just roll the ball out with no plan. I find that good coaches and front offices are in alignment with a short term and long term vision for players.

Ball handling and play making ability.

A lot of the guys on our roster can play off ball. After Poole, I would say Fears is the best ball handling player we have with Murray being out. I can see Queen as more of a Naz Reid player

This is probably the best part of all the moves they made in the last 72 hours. I would be livid if the front office was acquiring players based on how they fit with Willie Green.. This is the clearest sign that Willie won't be here much longer.

They don't. Writing on the wall.

This team is offense oriented (just like the rest of the NBA, minus reigning champs OKC). This is the current way of the NBA. If your team isn't scoring 125 points, you aren't winning. Defense is optional.

Hey at least they can shoot free throw now.

Poole, Bey, and Fears are all 80+% shooters at the line and Queen is in the high 70s.

For all the shite Willie gets (and deserves), he still has to coach a team whose star player is perenially injured, had a 2nd star who didn't have much better luck injury wise, and for all the being said,

Hes had one lottery team in his time here, and that was due to the whole goddamn team being hurt.

These players seem built for James Borrego style of play.

Preach. He's a mid to below average coach, but if his stars were Shai and Jalen instead of Z and BI, he'd look a lot better. He really has rarely gotten to coach the team he signed up for. As a matter of fact, when he did, we were actually the 1 seed in the West for awhile. I don't think he's as horrific of a coach as Z is as a franchise player tbh. I'm not even sure he's as bad of a coach as Griff was at GM. There are 100 problems in this franchise. Willie might legitimately be a problem, but if we get rid of him, we'd still have 99 other ones.
