If I weren't afraid of KD's health or commitment level I'd be right there with him. Like, if this were Giannis my dilemma would be do I trade Zion instead of Ingram because Ingram fits better with Giannis.

exactly
also, irving REALLY fricked over durant by picking up his option. you'd think some smart people would have explained this to those dudes...

nets would be hard capped and they are already over the apron. Irving would have to go out for nothing (ie, not Westbrook)
They'd just need to find a way to cut 5-6 mil, if they really wanted that deal, it's possible.
Obviously the KD move isn't the only move that they are going to do.
Nets:
Ayton
Bridges
Westbrick
6 picks
4 swaps
PHX:
Durant
Lakers:
Kyrie
Harris
Spurs:
Nunn
Curry
a few second round picks
Just an example of a trade that would cut 10 mil off of the cap for the Nets and get them under the apron.

I'd be so pissed if the Lakers were able to drop Russ for Kyrie and Harris. As much as a nut job and cancer that Kyrie is, Lebron is the one dude that could keep him in check. They'd be instantly much better.

And I’m okay with that but this board acts like the pels are so damn good. When they are far from it. They were barely a playoff team.
What a short-sighted, little context take...

What’s not legal about it? Educate me. If it’s as simple as adding some extra salary pieces that’s easy enough to fix. I was just thinking framework. Not really tinkering around with a trade machine.
Are you not allowed to send another player alongside someone who is getting signed and traded?
NVM. I see the discussion about the hard cap situation above. So sounds possible, but would need some work. Like they’d really have to want to do that, to do that.
Similar to how the Pels went out and sold their souls and flexibility to add Steven Adams to the Jrue trade a few years ago.

The Pels have been rising up the vegas boards. We have to be making some noise behind the scenes.
I can see us making a deal with the Nets like "We'll act like we're going all in on KD to raise the price you get IF you keep Kyrie all season and don't help the Lakers."

what is that through?
DraftKings has the Pels at +2000
still has Phoenix at -200

And?
And You are missing the part where Durant f@cked over the fans, teammates and the FO.
The Nets did everything Durant wanted. Everything he asked for. Got the coaches and players he wanted. He quit and demanded a trade rather than stay and fix HIS mess.
You take him home.
Cause you damn sure can't trust him to build your franchise.

Pelicans Odds on DK is now +1500. Continuing to increase by the day

Would be a stupid fricking trade. KD isn’t a savior. His arse got swept.

Phoenix should put everything but CP3 and Book on the table. They are the ones with the short window that keeps falling short. KD not only gives them better odds now, he probably extends the Window after CP3 falls off a cliff.

durant to PHX and irving to LAL though would be our nightmare scenario

I wouldn't do a Durant deal, especially after what Gobert went for.
However, I do feel like we need another guy. Not another scrappy Jose-type player. We need a guy.
The west is just too good.
Really feel like we need to turn Jaxson and Graham's contracts + picks into another player.

Pels been calling Sean Marks all day, so naturally the odds will rise.
What Vegas doesn’t know is we are about to swap Graham, Temple and Hayes for Mikel Bridges once the Nets make that trade

Why would the Pels trade for a player who is going to be out of the league soon?
