There will be some draft and stash candidates around those selections as well as skilled spacers and guys who may fall for various reasons.
With guys like Hernangomez, Melli, Gabriel, and Redick outgoing, we're going to have roster spots to fill.

When i see the scouting reports of top 5 : Cunningham, Mobley, Kuminga, Suggs and Green, i see it often.
Cade Cunningham :
+ Playmaking
+ 1 one 1 defense
+ Black Memba Mentality
+ Elite on Pick & Roll
- Off ball defense
- Handles
- Average finisher
Comparisons : Ben Simmons, Luka Doncic
Jalen Green :
+ Elite athleticism
+ Scoring ability
+ Elite on transition
+ Creating well
- Bad on half court sequences
- Bad defensive BBIQ
- Fundamentals to work
- Very individualistic
Comparisons : Zach Lavine, Russell Westbrook, young Michael Jordan
Evan Mobley :
+ Can switch on guards
+ Good shooting to a PF/C
+ Good hands, talented player and nice touch around the rim
+ Good defensive instincts
+ High BBIQ
- Very skinny and lacks strength and power at post moves
- Doesn't seem to have black mamba mentality
- Bad at 3 shooting for the current nba
Comparisons : Chris Bosh, Anthony Davis
Jonathan Kuminga :
+ Great Athleticism
+ Versatile skillset
+ Effective in both half-court and transition
- Bad shot selection
- Bad percent shooting overall
- Very injury prone at knee until now
Comparisons : Pascal Siakam
Jalen Suggs :
+ Good rebounder to his size
+ Consistently competes on defense. Puts pressure on the ball and jumps passing lanes very well
+ Very good ball handler
- Bad Scoring ability overall until now
- Solid all around but doesn’t have a specific area where he stands out
Comparisons : Jrue Holiday

is cam declaring for draft?

Not officially, but there's about a 98% that he is.

The tourney is where you see draft stocks rise.
Cam has looked awesome since the SEC tourney.
NBAdraft.net has him in the lottery now.
The knock on him his whole life has been he's not athletic enough to continue scoring like he does, yet he proves everyone wrong every step of the way. I have no idea how he manages to get fouled so often, but he does.
I don't think Cam is an NBA starter, but he looks like he will be a prime Lou Williams.
I'd like to get Davion Mitchell if we are picking later than expecting, and i definitely want to try to get Herb Jones in the 2nd round.
I think the first 3 in the draft are set, Cunningham/Mobley/Sugss. It's after those 3 where the decisions start happening. I'd have Moody at the 4 spot. I honestly don't think this draft is really that great after the top 3. Obviously there will be some good players in it, but no one really jumps out to me as someone i'd love to draft from that 4-10 spot.

suggs is fabulous.
cade had a bad day in ncaas.
stock fell.
highest ceiling. Mobley
kispert if you cant get mobley or suggs.

Draft position will play a big part in our selection. That said, I dont think Kispert will be realistic for our best pick. Perhaps we trade up to take him with a 2nd selection.

Shams just tweeted out the draft dates so I threw them in the OP.
Some great matchups for draft prospects in the Elite 8. We get Moses Moody against Davion Mitchell and Jared Butler tonight. Tomorrow night we get a probable top 5 pick matchup of Suggs vs Mobley and there's Kispert as well. Franz Wagner will take on UCLA tomorrow night.
It's hard to see a route where Cade isn't one of the first two guys selected and I think there's probably a 90% chance he goes #1. He didn't shoot it the best in the tourney, but he was fantastic in the Big 12 Tourney and the final stretch of league play. Played two great games against the Baylor defense, a good outing against Deuce McBride and West Virginia, and a good performance in the title game against Texas. And that's with a very underwhelming supporting cast.

Cade’s team is not great.
I can’t think of any team that wouldn’t take him #1 still.
His stock didn’t budge. He’s still in his own consensus class the way Zion was. There is Cade and then there is the other guys.

I just hope Cade willn't bust...Markelle Fultz was also a consensus 1 But his profile is elite for the current nba (being compared to Simmons and Doncic is cool).

Gotta think Moody is a guy we would seriously consider trading up for.
Wingspan, athletic and has a good looking shot.

Davion mitchell can play.
Super quick first step.
Can get to the rack whenever he wants

Moody is legit a perfect fit for this team. He can knock down the three but also play good defense.

yep.
I didn't know who he was before the tourney, as i didn't watch much outside of LSU, but he is one of the guys you see taken around 10 that ends up being an all-star.

Don’t think he could really be all star level, seems like smaller Jrue type guy

I'd like to see what he measures at. if he's got like a 6-7" wingspan, then he's a lot bigger than his 6'2" height.
Lillard is 6'2" with a 6'8" wingspan. Donovan Mitchell is at 6'10". That makes a huge difference.

Did a quick search of Davion's wingspan, but didn't see it anywhere. Samangy's database has Butler's wingspan from Baylor, but not Davion's.
But yeah, I really, really want us to snag Davion late in the first. He is relentless on defense and attacking the rim on offense. He's good with the ball in his hands, good off of the ball. I feel like I'm watching Tyrann Mathieu at LSU when I watch Davion play defense -- his instincts really jump out at you.
I can see Davion and Duarte being guys who get drafted late in the first/early second strictly because of age/perceived lack of ceiling (i.e. Brogdon, Bane), but enjoy long NBA careers. Davion will be a 23 year old rookie. Duarte will be 24.

Excellent update and analysis....one question - and I apologize if I am mistaken: Don't we also get a second round pick from Dallas for the Reddick trade ?
Many thanks again - superb analysis.
