More #Pelicans broadcast news: Antonio Daniels (@adaniels33) will be joining the local TV broadcast team as color analyst, per sources. Daniels will replace David Wesley, who served in the role for the past seven seasons.

That sucks. Wesley really improved over the years and was a good fit next to the GOAT Joel. I don't know anything about this Daniels guy.

Sucks because if Daniels does turn into a good color guy, it's probably going to take a year or two.

Wesley brought a level positivity to the broadcast without being a blatant homer that I think will be difficult for Antonio Daniels to replace given what we've seen on the halftime show. I think he'll do fine adding "expert analysis" to the mix, but the tone will definitely change.

Wesley was also very much unbiased. He wasn’t rah rah Pels and would shoot straight in a positive sort of way like you said
