he had a job interview. Why does he need to discuss publicly what went on in a private interview?

He's there for one reason, and that's to get a job, and to get the best job he can, not answer questions to the media.
Doesn't bother me one bit when any player in any sport doesn't want to talk to the media.

This isn't an interview with IBM. He's already a public figure via his NCAA exploits and he's interviewing with a company that invited the media and made it a publicity circus to promote the company and the interviewees.

I'm not bothered, but part of the job is dealing with the media, seems like a legit test of ability to me.

Per Pompey, we interviewed Deandre Bembry. 6'6" swing SG/SF from St Joe's. Late first early 2nd pick.

Providence guard Kris Dunn said he met with the Pelicans here. Cal swingman Jaylen Brown said he interviews with them tomorrow.

Dunn on the possibility of landing in NOLA: "Who wouldn't want to play with AD?" Says Davis is superstar on par with LeBron, Durant.

More Dunn

quote:

Brett Dawson ?@BDawsonWrites 7 minutes ago

Kris Dunn says defense is his greatest strength: “I like to get after people. I like to get under people's skin.”

Dunn knows that some see 4 years of college (he played 3) as a detriment, but he says he’s well prepared and “ready to play right away.”

Dunn on his NBA comparison: "A lot of people say John Wall, and I'm starting to see it more and more."

Providence point guard Kris Dunn on #Pelicans style of play: "(It's) definitely (appealing), for any point guard going there."

I really like Dunn. Glad it was actually him that mentioned Wall, because thats who I see when watching him.

The lack of shot is scary though. At one point in his DX breakdown he took the worst jumper i've ever seen in my life, not exaggerating. I probably rewinded the video a dozen times to see how it was possible, and still can't figure it out.

Dunn reminds me of Elfrid Payton

John Wall may be a tad ambitious

The size/length/athleticism numbers are similar to Wall. The ability to finish in transition, the explosion, sometimes out of control nature of his game is similar to Wall. Im talking Wall coming out of school, not all star Wall

Dunn projects as much more of a scorer than Payton ever will be, imo. The only real comparison i see is a bad jump shot.

Dunn:
44.8/37.2/69.5
16.4 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 6.2 APG, 2.5 SPG, 0.6 BPG, and 3.5 TOV

Wall:
46.1/32.5/75.4
16.6 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 6.5 APG, 1.8 SPG, 0.5 BPG, and 4.0 TOV

rookie wall:
40.9/29.6/76.6
16.4 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 8.3 APG, 1.8 SPG, 0.5 BPG, and 3.8 TOV

Honestly, Dunn has the potential to do that if he was the #1 PG and with AD/Holiday...Wall had nobody.

Holiday is starting PG though, but Dunn can ultimately replace him unless we transition Holiday to the 2, which then we can actually get that to work considering Holiday can play off ball and Dunn could if he develops a shot.

I'm not trying to hate on Dunn, but he's not John Wall. Wall was a 19 y/o freshman putting up those numbers, while Dunn 21 y/o senior. The numbers are disingenuous

If you're just looking at numbers you could look at Payton and say he was better than both (he wasn't)

19/6/6 with 2 steals on 51% shooting

.

Cmon

Do you know how many rookies have hit those number outside of wall?

Some of Jrues best games for us came playing off-ball with tyreke. And he can still play around 10 minutes at PG. I really like Dunn, think he will be a great player to pair with AD

Not many, I'm just comparing their stats. Nobody expects Dunn to be superstar wall, not realistically at least.

Rookie wall? Yeah I can see it, that's what I'm referring to
