We only have about 6 million of the TPE left, Nance used a big chunk

Can CJ play tonight?

Otherwise we might need to sign some guards to 10 days

Do we still have $15M until the tax for our TPE? I thought it would be less.

No. we are $4.4M under the tax after this, and used $10 of the $17M of the TPE.

Next year we are at $141M with 14 on the roster.

the initial expectation for the tax line for next year was around $140M, but I think the expectation is it may be a bit higher. Regardless, we shouldn't be a tax team next year as we'll be close, and it won't be hard to move Nance for a lesser salary if needed. He's not the stretch 4 we need anyway, even though i like him.

After frick them kids he came to our trainwreck. Don’t get me wrong, I love our team, but it’s been a trainwreck until Willie got here.

Man I love to have a guy like CJ but hate to lose a guy like hart. Time will tell but i dont know how I feel about this trade considering that it felt like this team was hitting its stride and hart played a big role in that. We will see

I think as fans it’s easy for us to lose sight of Zion’s role in these deals. We’re used to writing him off cause his lazy arse hasn’t gotten it together yet. The team is still building 100% around Zion. And this move potentially fixes a lot of problems when he returns.

This team has been a joy to watch this year. Losing Josh as a person to get better on the court just sucks and feels a little dirty. CJ has big shoes to fill in that locker room.

At a minimum they have to fly in and get physicals. It takes forever to get medical test results back around here so I'd say no.

I wonder if the move was finalized today in order allow some cushion for another deal to be made.

Probably just means Jaxson will start and play 30. Jose will play more than 18 tonight too.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but this deal also frees up a roster spot and allows us to convert Jose to a full contract which would make him playoff eligible.
