The war chest has no value if you do nothing with it too.

Look at all the picks that Danny Ainge let die on the vine.

so we have to root to finish bottom 14 so that we give this pick to the BLazers, and then the 1st we owe to Charlotte becomes 2 2nds.

I do'nt think we can do that with this addition, and how we've been playing, but frick it, i'd rather win.

The Didi throw in is very underrated because of this imo

Sounds like we're keeping that 10% "shot" at Lakers' top 4 draft pick...if something happens to LJ & Lakers end 11th in draft order. Stranger things have happened

Am I missing something? Or is this a ridiculously good deal for the Pels?

Great deal for the Pelicans to nab an all-star player.

Hart was always going to get traded when he signed his deal.

Didi and Santo...they are scrubs.

And we cashed in with NAW. Either him or Hayes needed to net us a positive piece and he did.

Are we to believe this is not a good deal?

It can be.

It's very risky for our "all in" move and we didn't exactly get an elite talent, plus we may be fleeced depending on the draft comp.

With Hayes,Kira, Murphy, Naji, Alvarado, and Herb, we still have a lot of young guys. They don't need anymore if they want to get over the hump now. The infusion of a couple of proven vets who can produce at a high level gives us a nice mix of youth and vets.

Okay good deal all things considered?

Great deal TBH.

Hart and a Protected first is the best assets we parted with and got back great depth and potentially a 2-3 year vet combo guard that is likely the best fitting player that projects to come available in the foreseeable future.

If he cuts into Temple's minutes, that's a win.

Yeah the draft comp isn't bad and getting Nance back is really good.

Do we still have $15M until the tax for our TPE? I thought it would be less.

We took advantage of Portland and bought low on a top 30 player in a position of need. He is owed a lot of money, but we are really on the hook for one year after this season, as he will be a valuable expiring contract in two years. If he holds up, he will be the best scoring guard we have had since CP3. PnR with him and Zion/Hayes is going to be deadly.
