You know, we may be getting a little ahead of ourselves here. Just mark this post for future reference.

What else are we going to talk about?
Looks like he became GM of the Clippers in 08 after being coach there for several years. He was fired in 10.
So he probably drafted Eric Gordon, Deandre Jordan, Blake Griffin, and maybe Aminu and Warren.
That's pretty solid, although he had high picks. And there is way more to successful GM than drafting. I don't know what other moves he made to improve the roster. None that I can see to be honest. I know he's not heavily respected as a GM from what I can tell.

He also had Donald Sterling handicapping him. Even giving Dunleavy benefit of the doubt though, I don't want to replace Demps until he's had a chance to fail, he just looks too promising.

It appears that the new forum is run by the same group of self-righteous assholes who previously ran Hornets Report. I was dissed and super banned from that site. I wear it as a badge of internet honor. If you in any way crossed the opinions of the owners (who I came to learn are not exactly the brigtest bulbs in the chandelier), they absolutely could not handle it. They went into brain spasms and temper tantrums.
Glad to know I'm not the only one to receive threats just because I disagreed.

I agree. I will be pissed is Demps is knocked out of his role.
However, that is very often how it works in the NBA. If the Dunleavy group wins, Dunleavy will be running the personell show within 2 years. Done deal, 100% fact.

I don't know anything about the relationship between Tom and Larry Benson, but Larry Benson's group becoming the alleged front runner after Tom Benson was the alleged frontrunner that pulled out because of the NFL, seems more like Larry being a hedge for Tom.
This. Could definitely see Larry selling some interest to Tom once NFL approval is finally granted.

Yeah, Demps has done well as GM. Most questionable moves he's made was the Bayless trade, but he turned that right around and got Jack, so it all worked out.
If anyone goes it MIGHT be Monty, but I hope not. He's getting great effort out of his players and has been getting better at rotations.

The problem is one of ego. I just am concerned that Dunleavey won't hold his in check.
Who knows? Maybe as someone suggested the Chouest group offer may turn out to be more cash up front than the Dunleavey group and things change. I honeslty don't think anything is done until a purchase agreement is signed.

That would be interesting...

Oh, funny. My response on that OTHER forum to the dumb purpleman comment has been deleted. Looks like they're running things exactly like they did with HR.

Yeah, I've gotten private messages already for questioning Harvey hornet's latest info brought there from his new site, the contributor claimed I had a vendetta and future posts would be deleted.

Used to be that way, definitely not like that now. It's very enjoyable these days now that ownership is shared with Hornets247

When the Hornets were in OKC I was almost banned from HR.com for something I said on an Oklahoma City website that was Hornets focused.

100% true. No reason for H247 to mis-manage the site, since H247 is all about reaching/engaging as many people as possible to promote the Hornets.

Visiting some Clippers forums, they actually liked Dunleavy a lot as a GM...just hated him as a coach.
I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I still want Demps to be the man.

Demps needs to be the man for faster and better results. He and monty are on the same page on building what they believe will eventually become an elite team, Dunleavy will come in a frick that up. What I have read is that Raj is a more hands off owner but tabs a person that he thinks understands the sport to run the operations part, in this case Dunleavy looks like he will be that guy.
I am not worried at all about losing the Hornets but am worried about how the new ownership will go about building the team into contenders.
