What are y’all’s thoughts on what will happen with Hart? Seems like Buddy and Lauri probably aren’t going to happen at this point yeah?

With the way the roster is currently lined up, I doubt you see any moves prior to the transaction involving Hart.
he's currently unsigned..."something" has to happen

The fact that is isn't signed right now must mean they are still in talks with trading him I would think.

Seems weird he'd be with the team in Vegas if they were going to trade him.

I don't think it's a sure thing he does get traded. I think they are still keeping their options open though. I'm sure they wouldn't mind bringing him back at all, but they want to make sure they can't upgrade first before doing so.

We only have one empty roster spot, and we still have Herb Jones unsigned, and I think that yesterday's signing of Hommes to the two-way contract means that Herb is getting a regular deal.
Josh Hart has a qualifying offer that he has until October 1st to accept. If he takes it, or if we move him in a S&T, then we have to waive Wenyen.
There's no room for anyone else. I suppose, at this point, we could end Hommes two-way contract and give that contract to Herb Jones, but that just seems unlikely.
So, yeah, I don't us signing any more free agents.

and if they hope to use the TPE at the deadline, they'll need to move at least one other player as well (on a standard contract, not a 2-way)

At this point it looks like the most likely option is that we just bring Hart back and cut Wenyen. Leaves us weak at PF, but we'll probably just play Hart and/or Trey there.

Following the summer league account, there are tons of players in Vegas. Supposedly they run some competitive pick up games out there. And there is a Top Shot deal at the summer league, Hart is big into that shite. I would not read much into him being there “with the team”

he and his agent can also be fishing for a deal there as well.

I feel like they told josh hart that's the deal to take it or leave it.
Him and his agent are trying to find a trade.

hart on the 1-year QO is a lose/lose/lose for the team.
1) hart will feel unappreciated
2) he will have a full no trade clause until the end of the league year
3) he will be an unrestricted FA once it expires and can leave for nothing

Hart just took Pels off his Instagram. Holding out hope for. Hield swap…

Players do this when they aren't "under contract".
I wouldn't read too much into it until something happens.

Hmmm, maybe someone has an offer for him and we can get a small TPE and pick.

It's still on his twitter and he just tweeted a few minutes ago.

We really need another PF more than we need Hield.

At this point, makes sense just to sign him as I do not see us getting more than a TPE and a 2nd in a trade.

From a logistical perspective, although the Adams-Bledsoe-Valanciunas swap has already been consummated, the Pelicans and the Kings still have multiple paths of completion in front of them, although they may require a bit of patience and salary cap maneuvering from both sides. Salary-matching is the number challenge in any sign-and-trade, and this theoretical deal is no exception. Josh Hart would be subject to the Base Year Compensation rule, which would factor his incoming and outgoing salary differently for each team.
For the Kings, he would simply count as his new salary. However, for the Pelicans, Hart's exiting number would either be equal to 50% of his first-year compensation, or his previous season's salary, whichever was greater. Assuming that Sacramento offers a contract slightly higher than the standard mid-level exception, let's say $12 million annually on a three-year deal, Hart's salary would be represented as $12 million for the Kings and $6 million (half of his new deal) for the Pelicans.
A one-to-one salary swap clearly isn't feasible in that situation, as Hield's cap hold is over $23 million. The Pelicans only path toward salary-matching would be to include the recently acquired Tomas Satoransky, who was a part of the Pelicans sign-and-trade a few days ago, adding another layer of complication to the deal. Normally, teams are forced to wait two months to aggregate recently acquired players in another trade, but the league's shortened offseason has also shortened that wait time, down to 19 days. The Kings and the Pelicans could agree to the terms of the deal and then wait the subsequent timeframe to officially close the trade.
The inclusion of Satoransky would still leave the Pelicans slightly short of matching contracts, as their incoming and outgoing salaries need to fall within $5 million, plus $100,000, of one another. Satoranskey and a signed-and-traded Hart would only account for approximately $16 million, compared to a little over $23 million for Hield. The easy solution is for New Orleans to also throw in former King Wenyen Gabriel, who's owed $1.7 million next season. All of those combined salaries would still leave a small gap of a few hundred thousand dollars that would need to be accounted for, but the Kings could either slightly increase Hart's initial salary, or they could write in his new contracts as de-escalating, which would push his first-year salary to about $12.8 million, more than enough to cover any gap.

However, you would think that if we had planned that, we would have done it before finalizing the Bulls or Grizzlies trades.
