There are basically just a handful of teams in the NBA and the rest of us are just there to fill out a schedule and develop younger players.

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant plans to sign a four-year, $198 million contract extension sometime after he becomes eligible on Saturday, @RichKleiman
tells ESPN.

Keep an eye on this: Pelicans could try hard to expand the Memphis deal before it becomes official.

Buddy Hield is a name I’ve heard mentioned

Looks like Scoop finally got around to listening to the latest pod casts from his sources.

Thank you. The most exciting part to me is probably that Jonas is interested in an extension. That's very good news.

Heres a list of players that signed deals with NEW teams and those deals exceeding 10mil (arbitrary line i chose to separate "significant signings") in order of AAV

Kyle Lowry
DeMar DeRozan
Lonzo Ball
Spencer Dinwiddie
Evan Fournier
Doug McDermott
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Kelly Olynyk
Devonte' Graham
Reggie Bullock

I think we are so fricking jaded we arent really considering how shite this class was.

we weren't looking for free agents other than a PG, and we got one, and i'm happy with it. The other spot could have been either a FA or a trade where we don't send salary back, so it's not like are only choices were whoever was a FA.

I’m not upset with not signing anyone else…”yet”.

I would have liked to add another proven shooter that can play minutes on the wing or in the post. But I’m also happy that we didn’t throw excessive money around when we haven’t won games in three years.

If the plan is to let the young guys play and rely on BI and Zion to get us where we need to be then so be it. I think we had to get to that point eventually. If they can prove that they can be the superstars we expect them to be with a “improved” roster….then there will be room to add another star level player afterwards.

Good to hear….

I can’t tell you how much relief I felt by not signing CP3, Lowry, or Dinwiddie to absolutely ridiculous contracts.

How long before we find out that Griffin didn't offer jack shite to any of those big names, and instead just told their agents to make it sound like he did so Zion thinks he tried

Graham got a longer deal with more guaranteed money though.

Right, I’m biased AF, but I think Graham is the best contract of the off-season in terms of value and length.

If you take out all the players that took less to go to contenders, that is possible. Portis' contract to return to Bucks was an unbelievable value.
