I sincerely hope there's something happening that helps bolster our team that we hear about soon.

6'4" Jrue used to defend guys 7 feet.

There's no arbitrary reason why Ball can't guard a lot of small forwards. Only be giving up a couple inches. I think he can become this current makeups best wing defender (gonna exclude Bledsoe for obvious reasons).

Is it his strength or quickness that people are most?concerned about defensively?

One blow to the theory on why we haven’t made any moves re: the trade is holding things up for us:

Every other team involved in the deal has made multiple other moves.

Again it's not just about who Ball is guarding, but who Ingram is then guarding in replacement.

Jrue gave us a lot of flexibility because of how good he was. Ball is not near as good. That takes away a ton of that flexibility because Ball is going to get beat a good bit and that will expose Ingram more.

This will be worsened if you have them out of position on defense. And it's not like Zion will be a big help either.

The ONLY saving grace to all this is having Adams anchor the middle.

You can't have Ball guard out of position just because Jrue did it SOMETIMES.

Jrue is one of the strongest guards in the nba.
Lonzo has no idea how to use his weight, what little he has. Jrue is 3” shorter than him and 20 lbs heavier.

Isn't the modern game all about switch-ability anyway?

Maybe SVG will employ a switch heavy defensive scheme

Marc Gasol to Lakers is picking up a little steam.

That’s not feasible for 90% of teams. The rest of the teams do what lazy idiots do instead of playing good team defense and hustling to get through screens.

I hope we aren't on hold 3 more days while we wait to see if Sacramento matches before we can make a trade with Atlanta for one of their many extra wings.

Torrey Craig just signed with the Bucks damn it

My guess is that we try to make Atlanta the fourth team and Huerter gets moved and we send them Frank

Wish we got Torrey Craig, the team with superstar small forwards, we can double team them actually and let their team mates do work. There aren’t many SFs in the NBA that are great compared to other positions.

Paul George/Kawhi Leonard
Kevin Durant
Giannis Antekoumpo/Khris Middleton
Jayson Tatum
Jimmy Butler

Sorry I haven't been following this recently but I've been getting shams and woj tweet notifications. Are we expecting any semi impactful signings for us at this point or are we planning to just fill out this roster?
