Was in Wisconsin for his final show.

I had the opportunity to see Elvis Presley, not once, but twice, within 30 miles of home but wasn't that interested then.
Not that I'm a huge Elvis fan, but he had a smoking band and was a monumental piece of American pop history.
The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Billy Joel and Elton John together are other notables that I skipped. By then though, ticket prices had gone through the roof and that played a factor.

Pantera.

Pink Floyd. They came to BR several times while I was in HS and college and I never saw them.

The Who with Keith Moon. They came to BR on the "By Numbers" tour, but I was grounded and couldn't go. I did see them a few years later, but with Kenny Jones.

When I was living in Buffalo sometime around 1969 my friend and I went to Toronto and walked around Yorkville. After walking around for a while, we both decided we wanted a cup of coffee so we stopped in a nearby coffee house. When we walked in we were practically the only people in the place so we sat down at an empty table and ordered two coffees.

When the waitress came back with our two cups of coffee she said, "That will be eight dollars".

We couldn't believe what she said and asked us why the coffee cost so much.

She said it was the cover charge to listen to the singer who was going to perform in a few minutes. As she said that a young woman came out and started to set up a chair and her equipment on the stage which was only a few feet from our table.. We told the waitress we were only there to buy some coffee and not to listen to the performer. The waitress told us she would charge us only for the coffee but we would have to leave before the female performer began her show.

We agreed to do that so when the female performer started testing her microphone my friend and I took our cups of coffee and left the coffee house.

As I walked away I was curious about who she was so I looked back at the big sign outside the coffee house.

The sign said, "Now Performing - Joni Mitchell".

I have always regretted that I didn't pay the $4 for my cup of coffee because I would have had a front row seat and gotten to listen to Joni Mitchell when she was just becoming a star.

I can’t think of a worse mainstream band than Korn

Eric Clapton played at City Park stadium (now known as Tad Gormley stadium) in New Orleans in 1974. I was 16 yrs. old and my parents would not let me go, so I pulled the station wagon up on the neutral ground and just sat on the hood and listened from far away. I heard Badge, I Shot The Sheriff, Layla and Blues Power, then I had to go home. Oh well...

Toss up between Ozzy, AC/DC, and Aerosmith.
