If I have to pick one artist it would be Dr. John.

I had legit chances to see The Who (both times at Jazzfest) and Sade (2000ish in New Orleans).
The Who because they are The fricking Who, and Sade because she’s probably my favorite artist of all time. I thought there would be other chances with Sade, and I was in a very anti social era last time The Who were at Jazzfest. Been kicking myself for decades over both.

How the hell* did I not listen to the Grateful Dead till I was 60 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*Because I was a Rolling Stone, Led Zep, Pink Floyd and The Who type rocker from the late sixties till I was 60. Then during COVID I randomly listened to a "greatest hits" of the Grateful Dead playlist and I was on the bus from then forward.
I do wish I had seen Jerry Garcia and lord knows there were hundred of chances that I just didn't know about...But as they say, you find the Grateful Dead when you ready for then to be found.

I would have loved to have seen Eddie live, but there was never a realistic opportunity when I could have done so, so I don’t necessarily regret it.
The ones I regret were ones I could have seen if I made different choices.
I could have seen Ozzy at Voodoo Fest, but decided not to buy a ticket and go alone after my older brother changed his mind about bringing me.
A group of friends invited me to go with them to Welcome to Rockville once. I would have had to sleep on the floor of the hotel room, and the car ride would have been a tight squeeze, but it could have been done. I turned it down because of that and I thought spending my money on that at the time would be irresponsible given my especially poor financial situation at the time. However, I would have gotten to see Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, and Linkin Park. In less than 6 months, the frontmen of all 3 bands were dead.

Probably Paul McCartney or one of the Beatles. I have seen just about everyone else.

All I can tell you is he was part of a 3-4 artist bill and was outshined by everyone else on the bill. Most everyone around me was down right bored during his show.

I worked for a boss that was an a-hole for a few years. Insisted on working on the weekends just to make you do it, not because it was necessary, etc.
He pulled the Saturday stunt one time and I had to give up my tickets to see Merle Haggard.
Merle died not too long after. The former boss is dead now too, but I still hold a grudge.

I always regret never getting to see Tom Waits also... I should have made more of an effort on the Orphans (2006) or Glitter and Doom (2008) tours because he did play in the south...
Anyway, nothing since and doubt there will be another opportunity...

TFTC, if you've been around Chicago for a while, there's a good chance we've been at some of the same shows.

You did miss a good one
I had the pleasure to see Jethro Tull, Alvin Lee and Ten Years After, and Muddy Waters. Muddy Waters was so impressive - they all were.

I would have loved to have seen the ‘62 version right after Ringo joined when they were just a band.
