People say that the influence that music has on young people is overstated. Almost singlehandedly, this album turned me into an alcoholic my sophomore year of college.

Illmatic, 36 Chambers, Geto Boys (self tilted) DJ Quik (Quik is the Name) OutKast (Aquemini) and Digable Planets (Reachin) are some of my top choices but this one still the king for me.

Either of Run DMC’s first two. First one was wild, groundbreaking. But I really liked the King of Rock also.
Managed a store in Nashville in ‘87 and we would crank these up in the stockroom while unloading and shelving stock. My fav lyric from You Talk Too Much~ “Eight days a week” lol!
