What is your album of the year so far?

I mentioned Courtney Barnett's Creature of Habit but I'm changing it to Wes Parker's Super Rare. Great album start to finish despite the strange interludes between songs.

No one album really stands out as a clear cut favorite (like Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Band was last year), but if I had to pick one it would probably be:
Kevin Morby- Little Wide Open
A few others I liked:
Styrofoam Winos- Any River
Joyce Manor- I Used to Go to this Bar
Thomas Dollbaum- Birds of Paradise
Frog- Frog for Sale
Bill Callahan- My Days of 58
Friko- Something Worth Waiting For
Ratboys- Singin to an Empty Chair
Kevin Morby- Little Wide Open

I listened to this last night. Man, what a spectacular album. Thanks for sharing.
ETA: I can’t find a vinyl copy of this anywhere. It must have been a very limited pressing. Someone link me up if you see it somewhere.

I like the Morby, Callahan, and Friko albums too. Saw them open for Modest Mouse and Flaming Lips and didn't know who they were. Great new band.

This is probably my favorite song of the year. Singer songwriter from New Orleans. Would recommend any MJ Lenderman fans check it out. MJ Lenderman actually plays on this track.
