I have only been to Corfu on an adult couples trip. Lots of flights there. Sarande, Albania is a short ferry ride away. (We went there first.) Here is what we did on Corfu --

Corfu Town tour, shopping, and dining
Theotaky Estates winery & olive olive oil tour/ tastings
White House dinner (The Durrells in Corfu-related)
Day cruise to Paxos and Antipaxos
Road trip to Kassiopi and Sidari

re: Seattle in December?

My niece came out for a visit the week before Christmas in 2023 and we had sunny/cold weather with lots of fog. You should expect and plan for cloudy & cold or cloudy & rainy, tho.

The Christmas Market at the Seattle Center was OK, but not as cool as the European ones I have seen. $20 just to get in was dumb.

All in all, there are enough cool things to do around here (another example is a Christmas cruise on the Sound or Lake Washington) or within a reasonable driving distance that make a mid- to late-December visit worthwhile.

I watched the Saints beat the Colts in the Super Bowl at this pub. It was the only place in town open that late and showing the game.

Don't know if they televise regular season college games, tho.

I have some Vienna recs if you want them.
My wife and I traveled to Vienna and Prague for the Christmas Markets in early December last year. We enjoyed both cities a lot, but I dug Prague a little more because it was easier to see/more compact. Both cities are great - but a little crowded - for Christmas Markets.

On the train from Vienna to Prague, we met an American living in Spain. He was going to Brno with his Polish girlfriend for a more authentic (i.e., less touristy) Christmas Market and holiday experience. You may want to check that out for a day or two.

48 hours is tight to see the museums and palaces. I can recommend these places for a quick visit

Truth & Dare | Cocktailbar | Bar | Mixology
Loos American Bar
Prater
Das Klee Restaurant
Secession
Lambrini Girls - Who Let the Dogs Out
Sharp Pins - Radio DDR
Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory
The Innocence Mission - Midwinter Swimmers (late 2024)
Mclusky - The World Is Still Here and So Are We
Red Tuesdays - Na Na Na Na (EP)
Cutouts - Snakeskin
Jawdropped -Just Fantasy
Spacey Jane - If That Makes Sense
Girl Tones - Blame
Depends on where you go.

I rented a car from a restaurant, of all places, in Saranda, Albania three weeks ago. I showed my state issued DL to a guy who spoke no English, signed a form in Albanian, and was off with the car. They took cash for payment on return of the car.

If time is a constraint, go with the Borghese. If not, the Capitoline Museum has a broader range of things (esp. older) to see. The back balcony at the Capitoline has a great view of the Roman Forum. I especially dug the original bronze Marcus Aurelius equestrian statue inside the museum.

If you go to the Capitoline, try to swing by to see this "new" statue nearby just created with copies of parts of the original Constantine statue kept in a courtyard of the Capitoline.

IMO, seven days on Whidbey Isl. is excessive.
If you stay there and (1) ferried over to Port Ludlow a couple of days from Whidbey and checked out it, Port Angeles, Sequim, and Neah Bay/Cape Flattery , (2) drove up to Anacortes via Deception Pass, that would be a better trip.

Good luck.
Yeah, Viagra Boys are not a new band.

Now these gals are new and deliver the goods.

Where in Greece are you going? We are going to Corfu in June and are headed over to Sarande, Albania for part of the trip.

You had me until this.

You could do the first and third (superficially) or the second and third (superficially) together in a day trip. But all 3 is virtually impossible with you spending enough time to make any of the visits meaningful.
I flew open jaw to Milan and from Paris back in 2022. Used Google flights. I found a cheap one way flight from MXP to Orly on Vueling Air for around $100.

The high speed train was going to take too long due to stops in Southern France.

La Brea Tar Pits and Museum for the 13 y.o.
My wife and I visited Vienna and Prague last December on a Christmas market-focused trip.
TBH, I got a little weary of the markets and the crowds after 2 days in each city.

The foods, Christmas crafts and goods, and mulled wines in the markets in each city were pretty similar to each other, with a few exceptions.

You really need to see the churches, castles, and other landmarks, too, to break up the repetition. Daytime is best time for that site-seeing for the most part. Nights are generally better for experiencing the markets, except they are more crowded.

Musical performances in the Italian Nat'l Church of Mary of the Snows and St. Stephen's in Vienna were a highlight in Vienna. Prague is so compact, we were able to see a lot of it in 2 days and fit in a day trip.

Get cash for some bathrooms and crafts at some of the markets. Otherwise, contactless payment options are offered almost everywhere.

Good luck.
Wear your bulkiest sweater/sweatshirt on the plane ride and wear/bring only one pair of water resistant/proof boots (with good soles), unless you are golfing.

I wore my Blundstones on both of my trips to Scotland (Nov. and May). Perfect for the weather.
Yes. It was still pretty cold.

Bring layers with a shell rain-type jacket. I recommend a knit hat and gloves too. There were sunny, cold, windy days and cold, dreary rainy days. I think it got to the low 50s F on the warmest day.

My daughter was living there at the time and commented on the constant winds. She did not make it past late June and moved home.
