I’ve been to the Sphere it’s a great venue. But there are not a lot of performers that can pull it off.

It’s around 20k capacity. Multiple nights. Your fans have to travel to you.

They are supposedly only doing 6 nights, which would be one of the shortest runs there.

I have considered which bands could make a Sphere run successful, and No Doubt was never in the discussion.

Doubt it unless Gwen is also doing her solo stuff

Even then 6 days is a lot for them

During their prime in the mid 1990’s . No Doubt was one of the hottest bands that sold out concerts worldwide. They were headliners for multiple festivals that packed in 100,000 people. No Doubt hasn’t toured in over a decade and their loyal fans will buy tickets and sell out The Sphere. Would not be surprised if they end up scheduling additional shows.

I read an initial article that said they would do May and June, so adding shows might be in the plan.

Saw them on YouTube doing a full concert. They had a lot more material than I expected.

I think a lot of people go to the Sphere just to go to the Sphere, at least right now until the novelty wears off. You'll have a good number of those people in the crowd every night. Hell, I probably would have gone to see Backstreet Boys or The Eagles just to go see a show there, and I don't even care about those two groups.

Looked like a successful opening night for them and a overall positive reaction to the show on social media.

They don't need 6 sets worth of material. They will play the same set 6 nights.

I caught U2 there on their very last show at the venue. I said to myself then...there are only a handful of bands that can pull off a residency here. No Doubt was not one of those bands. Maybe they will surprise me.

Shelton is town somewhere else. Riding The Voice coat tails too. Depending on cost, people going to see either might get talked into seeing the other if seats are available.

OP might be under estimating their pull also. Of all the chick bands from that era they were the least fricked up and the most still breathing. Chick led band is probably a better term.

If they play their only two tolerable songs on repeat about 9 times, yes.

It’s just a concert with a bigger video wall at the end of the day, not a moon landing. No Doubt was very popular and this is a reunion of sorts.

Saw a clip of it and it looked boring as frick. 100% not their type of venue.

It was just them peforming in front of a giant screen with siliouettes of them dancing.

I watched a song from one of their shows. Band sounded good, Gwen sounded great and looked great. They probably have more than enough fans to play a short stint at The Sphere.

Considering they sold it out and are looking into extending it, yes, they did in fact pull it off.

Gun to head, I would not have thought they'd have had a strong enough following to pull off a residency anywhere... considering I dont know anyone who'd go see them if they were playing across the street...

guess I'd be dead..

My wife wanted to go, so we did a few days away from the kids. Never a big No Doubt fan, could tolerate it from women in my life.

Concert was mostly women. Lots of milfs. Lots of freaks and cat lady types too.

Show was fire. I had some mushrooms for it, was wild. They don’t mail it in at all and the special effects of the venue are worth seeing any act there. Place is so sick. Sat in the 200 level. Would recommend, even if off to the side.
