Side 1:

Back in the USSR
Dear Prudence
Glass Onion
Ob-la-di Ob-la-da
Wild Honey Pie
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill
While my Guitar Gently Weeps
Happiness is a Warm Gun

Side 2:

Martha My Dear
I'm so Tired
Blackbird
Piggies
Rocky Raccoon
Don't Pass me By
Why Don't We Do it in the Road
I Will
Julia

Side 3:

Birthday
Yer Blues
Mother Nature's Son
Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for me and my Monkey
Sexy Sadie
Helter Skelter
Long, Long, Long

Side 4:

Revolution 1
Honey Pie
Savoy Truffle
Cry Baby Cry
Revolution 9
Good Night

For me:

Side 3
Side 1
Side 2
Side 4

Side 4 has almost no redeemable qualities outside of Cry Baby Cry. The back to back songs of Honey Pie and Savoy Truffle are the worst back to back Beatles songs on an album in their career, and the rest of it ain't much better.

Side 3 almost doesn't have a bad song on it, although I'm not a huge fan of Birthday. That run from Yer Blues through Sexy Sadie is the best part of the entire album.

I love Side 1 and 2 almost equally, although the middle of side 1 (lolob-la-di) is rough, and I don't really care for anything past Don't Pass Me By on Side 2

What is your ranking, and why?

Side 4 is weakest, but Cry Baby Cry might be my favorite track from the entire record

Side 2 = Side 3. Top tracks from former Martha My Dear, I'm So Tired; the latter Mother Nature's Son>Monkey>Sexy Sadie>Helter Skelter is an insane quadrant

Side 1 is #1, sandwiching Back in the USSR>Dear Prudence and While My Guitar Gently Weeps>Happiness Is A Warm Gun? Get out of here.

I think I’m gonna go in order 1, 2, 3, 4.

Side 1 is clearly #1 to me. Contains some of Lennon’s best work and obviously a triumph for Harrison.

White album has too much filler. Sgt. Peppers is the better album

Side 2
Side 3
Side 1
Side 4

Its my 2nd favorite Beatles album, only surpassed by Abbey Road, which was a true masterpiece.

Martha My Dear is one of my favorite lesser-played Beatles songs.

1. Side 1 - Contains two of my favorite Beatles songs (Guitar and Happiness). First three songs to kick off the album are also very strong

2. Side 3 - Nothing as strong as the Side 1 tracks but all very good songs and none of the clunkers that show up on other spots in the album.

3. Side 2 - Blackbird and Rocky Raccoon are both great songs. But then you've got Piggies and the back half of the side which bring this one down.

4. Side 4 - A couple of good tracks but this one contains the most filler and therefore belongs at the bottom.

Side 2 is plagued by too many "novelty" songs. Side 1 has 2 of the album's bigger hits (USSR and WMGGW), but, as you suggest, also Ob-la-di Ob-la-da, of which I'm not much of a fan.

I agree on 3 and 4 as "best" and "worst". 4 has the Revolution tracks - and that's it. The rest?

For 3, I don't have a lot of heartburn with Birthday and it is the worst track on the side.

The Beatles were better on a tighter track "budget" - Sgt Pepper, Abbey Road and even Let it Be were all efficient and did not allow for (primarily Paul and John) random meanderings that end up being worse than filler - as you've correctly identified here.

I'm doing this in worst to best order, it's easier to figure out this way.

4. Side 4--has Revolution #9 on it nothing can redeem it from this.
3. Side 3-has Yoko Ono's shrieking nasally background vocals on Birthday this means it's only saving quality is that it does not have Revolution #9 on it.

2. Side 2-No Birthday, no Revolution #9 but other than other than Don't Pass Me By and Why Don't We Do It in the Road? there really isn't anything that really rocks on it the rest of it is almost folk rock.

1. That leaves Side 1 by process of elimination. Only real stinkers are Wild Honey Pie and Dear Prudence (I can only stand this song when the Jerry Garcia Band did it.)

Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, and Abbey Road are all true masterpieces. The artistic evolution, musical execution, and lasting influence and impact from that impeccable run cannot be overstated.

Dear Prudence (I can only stand this song when Siouxie and the Banshees did it.)

I don't think MMT stands up to the others, but I agree with the rest. I actually consider the White Album their 5th best, to be honest.

Worthy of that tier for the simple inclusions of "I am the Walrus" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" alone.

I agree, I Am the Walrus is my favorite Beatles song of all time, followed by Taxman...the lyrics of Taxman are shear genius (and very true of today's government)

The white album has too much shite on it. It has some of the best and very worst Beatles songs on it.

That's exactly why I love it. It's a gigantic sprawling mess.
I'll probably rank it 1-2-3-4.
1 has Glass Onion and Happiness is a Warm Gun and the only negative is Wild Honey Pie.
2 has Blackbird and Don't Pass Me By. The negatives are Rocky Raccoon and Why Don't We Do It In The Road?
3 has Helter Skelter and Sexy Sadie. It also has Everybody's Got Something to Hide
4 has Revolution 9. That drags down everything else

I would also rank 1, 2, 3, 4. Top favorites are WMGGW, Helter Skelter, and Revolution 1. The new releases sound incredibly good and I have both disc 1 and 2 in my 6-disc player in my car.
