Heights, public speaking, and spiders

I'm thinking 35 wins next year boys

I'm ready for the Doc Rivers era

Jam bands died in the early 2000s
yeah pretty much.

Jerry dying was the beginning of the end. Trey being strung out on the junk was the nail in the coffin

That being said seeing Biscuits/Phish 2008 to now was a great time in my life
Too young for Dead. Saw Phil Lesh and friends once about as close as I got

Phish idk 30 something times

Disco Biscuits maybe like 15 times

WSP a few times lol), (and other various hambland groups over the years
Dewey, mind if we get stoned in here?
I resent that this objectively gay arse team made me stop caring about the NBA
If Tate's still there and so is one of Bain/Bailey I really hope we take one of them. I'm assuming Reese and Styles are gone

Tate just doesn't excite me much
quote:

She can rot in hell for defending pedophiles.
I think this is a relevant point

She pulled back door shenanigans with her influence to maintain that NOLA Catholic clout

It illustrates she’s more concerned with being an important figure with the movers and shakers in her little upper crust St Charles catholic world than being interested in the notion of profitability for the franchises she owns

Won’t even get into the lack of a moral center with the actively covering up child rape
The sooner everyone accepts this, the better

I've been here since Dan Dickau, boys. We're toast. Gayle, up to her regular expected standard, didn't even have the wherewithal to be subtle about it

The NBA is pretty fricking boring these days anyway, I'm sure as shite not going to a Las Vegas Pelicans fan

I give up
It's all real

It's worse than we thought

Nothing will happen to anyone involved
Yes. But the originators and by far the best musical output of the subgenre.
One of my favorite things about Steely Dan is the interpretation of lyrics. They keep it very open and vague and that’s always really fascinated me

But this one’s really obvious lol. But the fuggin bass line on this, jesus lord have mercy. And that synth line too.

It’s about always wearing condoms. “Never gonna do it without the fez on…”. One of the easiest to interpret. And that little guitar solo from 1:57-2:08. Just a great song

The Fez
Alright fellas. It’s been a while since I’ve started a thread on here. It’s cold outside and I had a few drinks after dinner, and frankly I feel this is a subject to be attacked earnestly and with a sense of purpose.

That of course is the topic of Steely Dan being the greatest band of all time. That just wild arse mix of combing jazz concepts and rock, a legendary high musical standard for the process of recording albums, and dark sarcastic lyrics totally open to interpretation. They’re the best.

So my vision for this discussion is for friendly and robust debate amongst friends about the band Steely Dan. They’re great I think they kick arse

Ok I’ll start with this format but feel free to post any and all thoughts, facts you find interesting, opinions, rankings, whatever.

Steely Dan albums ranked (by me):

1. Aja
2. The Royal Scam
3. Pretzel Logic
4. Gaucho
5. Katy Lied
6. Countdown to Ecstasy
7. Can’t Buy a Thrill
8. Two Against Nature

Any time thoughts or debates you’d like to start, let’s do it
He tries to do the business-like Saban thing but it doesn’t rub off quite as genuine. He’s a good coach though

I think it was to reset the audience's expectations honestly
Sure, but is watching someone have diarrhea on screen the first 3 minutes the only way to accomplish such a thing?
The shitting part was jarring and not with the tone of the rest of the episode

Pretty stupid. I looked past it but it bothers me
