DJ Rob Base / Geto Boys Cajundome 1990

Show that hooked me on live music was 311 / Funk Junkies 1994 at Grant St Dancehall or Pearl Jam 95 at Tad Gormley Nola

Friends parents took us to the Commodores concert in Monroe in the late 70's.

My parents took me to see Elvis here in Ellic. Don't remember which was first, but those two are classic to me.

Saw Widespread Panic there once. Eating acid and riding roller coasters all day is pretty damn fun.

The Rolling Stones in the Superdome 1981 Tattoo You tour. My Dad's Company had a Suite in the Dome and my cousin was a police officer working the concert and he was able to get us backstage. Very cool...met George Thurogood who came across as a really good guy.

I was supposed to go to this show. I was at Keesler AFB for tech school and had worked out permission with our night shift SGT to run over to New Orleans for the show and head right back to the base afterward.

Like 2 weeks before the show he busted me for a "security violation". Claimed the window in my dorm room was unlocked. Because of this, he told me I couldn't go to the PJ show (still think he was full of shite).

I've since heard recordings of that show....incredible. Glad you got to go!

Hank Jr - Feb '86 at the centroplex. Made me a fan for life. That sum beach was crazy. From swigging Beam to ending the show shooting a double barrel shotgun shirtless, a good time was had by all.

No Snow Show in Orlando in 06’ when I was in middle school because I was a huge Blink 182 fan and then I got into Angels in Airwaves after they split up. That was the first time I saw someone smoke weed too. I also got hit in the face with a beer bottle at one point and bled like crazy but everyone let me come back to my spot right up front by the stage after I got cleaned up. Looking back the lineup was cheesy as hell but at the time it was as good as it got.

Angels & Airwaves
AFI
Taking Back Sunday
Kill Hannah
Buckcherry
Sugarcult
Bullet For My Valentine
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

The opener was a local band that one a contest held by the rock station that held the concert called There For Tomorrow. They played a few songs that they released as an EP a few months later called Pages. If anyone still listens to that stuff it would be worth trying to find them.
