The Replacments. Simply one of the best rock bands ever.

Can you point me to a good Wood Brothers album or a mix of 5 songs that one (not just the biggest hits) must hear?
Live at the Barn or The Muse

I'm a big fan of The Gaslight Anthem. They sort of got publicity, but never to the degree they should have.
The '59 Sound is an incredibly likeable album. My uncle, who is in his 60's randomly stumbled across it and loved it. I'm in my 30's and loved it.

Love RRE. I've seen them a few times at music festivals - just a great time and they are a great sound. They'd be one of my top 5 music groups that I'd take if stranded on an island.

The Deslondes. Great group of songwriters. Great band with a badass sound.
This Ain’t A Sad Song

Big fan.
I’ll submit the following
Depswa
This Time
From The Inside
Those are 2 of my favorite songs, but their entire first album is fantastic. Second album not as good, but still pretty good. Unfortunately they’re on “indefinite hiatus” which means they are probably done.
Revis
Seven
Caught in the Rain
Another band who called it quits way too soon.
Submersed
The Rescue
To Peace
And another band that ended too soon.

I just don’t “get” the Wood Brothers. I really love Railroad Earth, but change the song if the Wood Brothers come on.

This is the thread where I post my usual response...The Dave Rawlings Machine.
