We used to watch them play at the George Street Grocery in Jackson. Great Blues/Rock group.

And to the Wet Willie comment---I just listened to one of their later albums called "Manorisms"...the tune "Street Corner Serenade" is just an upbeat, happy, well written tune!!

When this son came out I used to hang out at the AM station in a small Alabama town where my aunt worked, love that song!

I saw Jason and the Scorchers in College Station around '99 or so. Don't know if they ever stopped touring.

Drivin n Crying actually had a radio hit with Fly Me Courageous. Mainly remember them for a guy across the hall from me in the dorm who would get drunk and play Straight to Hell on repeat.

Wait, Wet Willie is considered regional? They played them quite a lot in South Louisiana in the 70s.
Keep On Smilin' was a great skating ring song.

Yeah, they had a top 10 hit, I would consider that breaking nationally.

From my high school and college days in Mobile and Auburn, The Ugli Stick was the jam.

Currently I cannot fathom how The Deslondes don’t get more positive attention. Those guys are incredible.

While the Rads and Subdudes may not have had commercial success, they both tour very successfully around the country.

Think Wet Willie had 3 songs get into the top 40. To me, that qualifies as national success.
