Dobeš should have had a delay of game called on him.

Right before they neutered Miller, they missed a high stick on Carrier
In early 1990s I had it. Triggers were cheap red wine, stress, and the ex, in no particular order. Once my doc said to shite in a box and bring it in, it magically disappeared.

However I ended up with severe Crohn’s a little over 25:years later, brought on by work stress. I was 49 and in the best physical shape of my life at the time when it happened.

Since I am super high risk for colon cancer, I get a yearly colonoscopy. If your doc suggests it, do it.

Any corn product kills my gut. See what hurts you and avoid it.

Indeed. A sweep would save me $600.

Do any of y'all have any cool/valuable NHL playing cards?

I have an ungraded Gretzky rookie. Probably a 3 if I graded it.

I will repeat what a few have said that if you want a Sub, get it. I wear it all the time, it’s so comfortable for being a hunk of metal. No regrets. I’m also comforted that when I’m gone, it will go to my son, who appreciates mechanical things.

I bought a Tudor Pelagos (matte blue face) a couple of weeks ago. I like it so far.

Carolina will play Ottawa - this will be a sneaky good series. If Ottawa can get saves, they will give Carolina trouble.

Indeed. Elite goalies have been the Canes kryptonite in the playoffs

I actually though the Canes would beat us last year after we went to 7 with the Leafs but then Rod the Bod thought they could out Panther the Panthers.

Haha- I agree. Game 1 at home we came out trying that. It lasted all of 8 minutes and Aho retaliated and got called for a penalty. Panthers scored on the power play and the tone was set and it was over

Woild have been interesting if the Panthers had not run over the Leafs goalie in the prior series. Playoff hockey
Canes fan checking (no pun intended) here.

With the Panthers out, us Canes fans feel good as they have been our nemesis two of the last three conference finals. Having said that, if Ottawa is the first round opponent the Canes will have their hands full. Home ice will be huge as Rod can send out the checking line when the situation dictates.

Playoff hockey is the best, on TV it’s great but being there is (expensive) another level. I hope we draw Boston because there are enough transplants down here to make it chippy in the stands.

For newcomers the Canes are a balanced team, solid defensively but don’t have an offensive superstar. Only real weakness is goaltending. Rod’s system depends on the forwards being defensively responsible which can mean they can have the puck 2/3rds the game but lose because they give up a breakaway or a leaky goal.

I also wanted to add there is a war museum in. Dubrovnik on the top of the mountain. Their war maps call it the “War of Serbian Aggression”.

These Balkan states have absolutely brutal histories. Why is that?

Quick answer would be is geographically they are where the sphere of influence of east and west intersect. Austria Hungary vs the Ottomans was an ongoing thing. Long answer would be TL,DR
The Birmingham Americans became the Vulcans in season 2. I remember watching some of their games on TV.
