If you like Symphony X, you should check out Michael Romeos’s
War of the Worlds Pt 2
It’s a spectacular release…Romeo really is a stellar composer. Dino Jelusick‘s vocals are awesome

Will do. Heard a few cuts off of Youtube and it sounds really good. Bought, The Dark Chapter, back in the day and I’ve always loved it.

Ra - hard rock, amazing vocalist. All their albums are good but my favorite is Black Sun. They also do a great cover of "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by Police. I will promote them forever they are always under the radar
Iced Earth - one of my favorite power/metal bands. A heavier Iron Maiden. Many vocalists throughout the years but always solid. Of note, guitarist was arrested in the January 6th thing FWIW. Album - Something Wicked This Way Comes or Night of the Stormrider
Into Eternity - now with a female vocalist which doesn't do it for me anymore, their prior singers were amazing. Very heavy, good guitars. Album - Buried in Oblivion

Montrose - the album is a hard rock classic and masterpiece.
Target (w/ Jimi Jamison lead singer) - Memphis based band in the late 70s.

Ad Infinitum- Melissa Bonny on vocals, she's awesome.
Unstoppable
Afterlife ft. Nils Molin
Husbandry- Prog metal band out of NYC with Carina Zachary on vocals, she's awesome.
Smile With Teeth
Elder Spencer Deery
Shinobi Ninja- Another NYC band, sort of a hybrid rock/metal/rap/r&b band, kind of hard to describe them. Been around awhile, just have never seemed to get much traction.
This Is How We Do It/Scenario
Burnout
Cobra Spell- A current band that's a throwback to '80s metal.
Addicted To The Night
The Midnight Hour

Beastmaker. Incredible, and incredibly prolific, stoner/doom metal band. These dudes kick fricking arse.
"Evil One"
"Mask of Satan"
"Nature of the Damned"
I'll also add Black Rainbows, who also kick fricking arse.
"The Hunter"
"The Red Sky Above"

Winery Dogs. It’s a super group of Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, Billy Sheehan of Mr. Big, and Richie Cockson of like every 80’s band at some point.
I saw them in Greensboro on their first tour. Richie Kotzen is way overlooked and he's a phenomenal guitar player. Him and Adrian Smith did an album together not too long ago. Another Portnoy project that deserves to be mentioned in this thread is Sons of Apollo. Mike, Billy Sheenan, Derek Sherinian, Bumblefoot, and the incomparable Jeff Scott Soto on vocals. Saw them at Cat's Cradle on their first tour.
Comfortably Numb (Live at the Roman Amphitheatre in Plovdiv 2018)
Coming Home
They did this selection when I saw them and it was spectacular live and in person. JSS is so unappreciated.
Sons of Apollo - The Prophet's Song & Save Me (Queen cover) & Alive - Praha 2018 Prague
