Yeah that’s a bummer for sure. It’s what I look forward to watching Friday nights

I wonder if it was planned or had always been scheduled that way. I guess it will just extend the 9 episode list to being a 10 week set, so that would make sense. Maybe human tacos are coming soon for a Cinco De Mayo release?

Just sat down to watch episode 6. What a buzzkill to find out it's on a one-week hiatus.

Good last episode. The opening theme absolutely nails the 90s sound and couldn’t be more perfect for a show.

Damn, I also just sat down ready to enjoy an episode. In this day and age why would there be a week without an episode? That’s just rude.

Well the avengers have assembled together again…

That was a pretty sad few moments there at the end .

It's about damn time! I really like how they shot that scene. The overhead shot revealing the symbol was pretty cool.

Quite the fakeout! Although that was a more realistic outcome, I'm disappointed we won't have an ongoing mystery about what happened to the wilderness baby.

The mystery would have been great, but it being stillborn is the most humane, for lack of a better word, outcome.

Episode was a little milder than I thought it would be coming out the break and the prior episode was very build up heavy, but still solid. Sad that we only get 3 episodes before who knows when.

Yeah it reached a point where I thought the baby was just going to starve.. that was getting absolutely brutal to watch (not that it wasn't brutal otherwise).

That was a really intense episode. I'm starting to see how things go downhill in the wilderness. The baby was the one thing holding that group together. Now they're all going to be even more traumatized/broken than they already were.

None of this should have really been unexpected, but it's different seeing it play out. The acting has been phenomenal. After seeing them all crying around Shauna in the cabin and then thinking about their older personalities, I think it kind of puts into perspective how fricked up they all are from the whole ordeal - regardless of how they try to hide it.

Expect for Misty. I'm honestly not sure whether she's as traumatized as the rest or just a legit psychopath.

The music on this show is so great at setting the tone

Misty talking coach Ben off the ledge

Lotties therapist being all make believe

I loved the avengers assembled at the round table drinking and reminiscing . Appears we will get more of that next week

Can’t believe Lottie would sacrifice herself for the Cabin Fight Club .. also can’t believe nobody stepped in when it was clearly getting out of hand

Looks like the cannibalism is about to ramp up it appears. They’re getting hungrier and hungrier and more and more desperate

Once this series is finished, the complete soundtrack may be one of the best. The choices of Nirvana and Live were so perfect this week.

Random thoughts while watching this week's episode...

- Another remix for the intro song this week. MEH, nothing is ever as good as the original

- Adult Van: “What is the intention exactly?”

- Taissa and Shauna seemed pretty close as teens. Kinda weird that they’re not better friends as adults.

- BRUCE! We need more Bruce this season.

- While I think most of the adult characters are somewhat similar to their teen counterparts, Teen Misty is extremely different from Adult Misty. Teen Misty is so insecure and self-conscious while Adult Misty is just a psycho badass that doesn't seem to give a shite what people think.

- Randos chatting about eating more people. Do we even know who those characters are? They're probably on the menu

- “Why does everyone keep saying that to me!?”

- Ricci in that bathing suit!!

- Oh shite, Walter using that Garfield phone!? Definitely remember those from back in the day

- Glad they finally revealed that the psychiatrist wasn't real and Lottie was just talking to herself. That psychiatrist seemed sketchy AF from the start.

- So many camera shots of the antler chandeliers. Gotta be a reference to Lottie being the AQ, no?

- Teen Shauna beating Teen Lottie was brutal. Kinda wish they ended the episode with Teen Lottie's gurgling after the beating with "Lightning Crashes" fading in the background. I get that they wanted to end it with a cliffhanger that Adam's body was found, but I just think ending it with a shot of Teen Lottie's bloodied face would have been more powerful.

Brutal beating for sure.

Anybody else notice the opening credits song was different last few weeks? Or maybe I'm late to that party. Alanis Morissette put her spin on it

I've always loved that lightning crashes song. It's so good the way it builds up.

I disagree. Adult Misty is the same person IMO. She still absolutely craves approval. Her interactions are a bit different because they are all adults now - I actually think it’s a pretty realistic portrayal of how that sort of dynamic changes as people get older.

It’s kind of crazy how Lottie is almost turning into the protagonist of the show. While she obviously has her own demons, she seems to be the most genuine character in all of her scenes both past and present. It’s going to be interesting seeing how/if that changes by the time we get into antler queen territory.

New episode dropped & lots of questions answered finally. We knew they would resort to hunting each other but dayumn! Those primal screams were terrifying. Also, poor Nugget. Didn't see that coming. Finally, Coach Ben better hunker down in the tree caves & not go back. Bishes be crazy now.

I have not read any of this thread. I just want to ask, should we buy season 2? We liked 1 well enough.

Yeah, quite surprised how many questions were answered. For example, now we know why Pit Girl was wearing Jackie's necklace.

Random thoughts:
1. Surprised the cops didn't find the piece of Adam's license that Callie kept in a drawer. Thought for sure that would come back to bite them in the arse.

2. “Misty you are nothing if not proactive” - “Thank you”

3. Oh Walter, what are you doing reaching out to the police!? Misty is definitely going to murder him.

4. Really surprised at how quickly everyone just agreed to draw cards to sacrifice someone for food. Was the belt soup not cutting it!?

5. Poor Javi. He should have stayed in his tree.
