Saw somewhere where the actress has to wear colored contacts to match the younger version so it may be irritation?

Could be the answer or could be more sinister .

Smart for showtime to stream it early on fridays so people can watch it then and clear out for succession on Sunday nights this way everyone wins

I love the implantation of the strategy

MAN, that last scene was wild!

I really hope we'll still get appearances by Jackie's ghost because Ella Purnell has been great this season in a very limited role.

Walter (Elijah Wood) is the perfect match for Misty, and I think their continued interactions are going to be a lot of fun (unless Misty winds up murdering him or something ).

Is anyone buying Lottie's explanation for Travis's death? Still trying to figure out what exactly he was trying to see/discover with his near-death experience.

I have really enjoyed these first two episodes and I think they've been done really well. It's absolutel torture having to wait a week for new episodes

Wow… at first I thought it was gonna be like a Lost style Jack/Locke type factions and who would join either Taissa or Shauna as they were trying to figure out what to do with Jackie

Then that final scene.. that was some haunting shite.

Coach Ben knows his time is very limited before he is next on the buffet line

Oh, for sure!

I really thought Shauna would eat more of Jackie before we got to this point. Like, every day she'd keep eating a little more until someone walked in and caught her, and then we'd get to this point.

I wonder if they're going to keep ending each episode with a WTF moment as the season progresses

ETA: In this episode they also mentioned that Shauna was 7 months pregnant. Previously it had been stated that they were lost in the woods for 19 months, so the cannibalism has already started less than halfway through their ordeal

It makes sense.. they are gonna have to split off into factions I think at some point… some are gonna start to get conflicted with the cannibalism and then lotties tribe with the mysticism and all that

I don’t think they stick together as one dysfunctional group. They have a looooong time left out there in the woods as you mentioned

You're right, you can see the cracks forming already.

Travis and Van seem to be all about Lottie, whereas Nat and Taissa aren't buying that shite

You’re onto something there… and this could be what the “ tell nat she was right” thing could be about ….

First episode was great. Glad we finally got another season. Need to run a rewatch as I remember the first season thread being a lot of fun. As noted the new intro scenes are interesting and possibly creepier.

I’m really glad this show seems to have picked up right where it left off. I was going to wait and binge the entire season but was afraid I would come across spoilers. The only thing I can’t stand is Shauna’s daughter. I wish they could make her at least slightly more likable. I want to skip every scene she is in because she’s such a miserable piece of shite.

I didn’t think about that. And I can’t believe they would make such a stupid decision as to leave the jacket on her. You are stuck in Alaska in the winter. Every layer of clothing can be the difference between life and death.

There’s some great comparisons between episode 2 and the mythos of Bacchus/Dionysus that are super interesting.

Yeah, there's a pretty detailed Reddit post explaining the connection for those that are interested: Cult of Dionysus
