Serenity.
The Matthew M and Anne Hathaway one. Not the awesome one.

Cabin Fever is up there for me. It’s awful.
Freddy Got Fingered may be worse though. Only movie I ever intentionally tried to fall asleep in the theater for. And I loved Tom Green too.

I'm from Gummo's town originally. Xenia. Largest city in America that starts with the letter "X". About 30 K population; obviously it isn't like Gummo. The tornado was real, though.
Sphere always comes to mind because there were so many big names involved and it felt like they all sleep-walked through the entire thing. Stealth (2005) is also in this boat.
Bad low budget I'll throw out Bloodsucking Freaks. Just nasty and misanthropic. Felt like taking a shower.
Ebert had a very strong hate for Chaos (2005) starring Sage Stallone. Similarly nasty.

I'd probably say Manos out of all films, but...
Is a good call from Star Power/Budget perspective. Not sure if anything else matches that. That movie was terrible, while the book is super solid.

Another terrible indy I thought of: The Chumscrubber.
Pea-brained take on "Suburbia is actually a hellscape dystopia". Tried to be edgy and smart, just came off as fricking stupid and boring as hell.
Mid-00s had so many horrible pretentious flicks helmed by talentless hipster hacks trying to pass themselves off as auteurs thinking they'd be the next Tarantino, Cronenberg, etc.

Recently I’d say The Vanished for movies, and truth be told for tv series. Just awful.

Certainly a flicked up movie with no narrative at all. Just a collection of disturbing scenes.

Worst one I paid to see at the theater. Rosario Dawson's nude scenes were the only decent thing about it.
