I will not say that I dont care for it but Pulp Fiction was not one of my favorites. It had some parts that I really liked but overall, I didnt go crazy over it

The Big Chill. Embarrassing self absorbed boomer dreck. Even the soundtrack is tired.

…and I’m a boomer.

i enjoyed Knocked Up, Bridesmaids, and 40 year old Virgin at the time, but in hind sight, Judd Apatow is really cringe.

Same with Broadcast News. The message of the movie warning of news becoming entertainment was done a million times better in Network a decade before. Broadcast news is just whiny people with a ham-fisted message wrapped around a love triangle involving 3 unlikable characters.

Those two movies perfectly explain why millennials are the way they are after being raised by boomers and I am a millennial

there is a lot i liked about the movie. Probably the best tripping season ever

But the girl kinda sucks. Like i get it, she went thru the worst thing imaginable with her family. Her boyfriend already wanted to dump her. She sucks for being the 5th wheel on that trip. We are just supposed to be cool with what happens to her boyfriend in the end cause he kinda sucks?

It doesn't hold up well. When it premiered it was a singular moment of heavy nostalgia. But it kicked off a huge resurgence in 60's culture and music that just deadened the initial effect of the film. Now it's just whining introspection. Even the group self-analysis spin was quickly overdone with Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire.

The soundtrack is tired, now, because the "new" nostalgia was quickly beaten to death with the California Raisins and Murphy Brown and every other 80's and 90's campaign that overplayed those songs. We went through something similar with American Graffiti, where everyone rediscovered the songs of the 50's and pre-Beatles 60's, but that soundtrack held up.

I can honestly say that I've never seen a single LOTR or Harry Potter movie.
Midgets with big feet and kids in movies just don't appeal to me.
Sorry.

I've watched them all and would watch (once) anything else he puts out

But I'll probably never pick a Tarantino movie to rewatch.

Other than rewatching with my son over the last couple of years, OUaTiH is the only one I’d rewatch. And I saw this as a big fan of his.
