Been years since I watched it, but House was a great character.
Just limped around ripping Vicodin, being a cynical a-hole to everyone, and constantly pulling unorthodox diagnoses out of his arse to solve medical mysteries.

The show is very very formulaic and is best consumed in small doses.
You come back not for the medicine or the plot, but for how well Hugh Laurie can portray a smartass and for how much chemistry he has with Edelstein and Leonard.

Exactly. You watched for Hugh, and then you got fine tail like Wilde to keep you interested.

We watched for Hugh, and wished the ancillary characters would be killed off.
