Hugh Laurie, last I read, has gone full blown MTF tranny. One ugly "female".
This is one of the most random bullshite posts I've ever seen on this site. He was just in S2 of "The Night Manager". He's still a dude.
ETA: House was a top tier "background show". Extremely repetitive, but generally entertaining with a lot of good one-liners. If you miss 5-10 minutes of it because you were doing something more important, you're probably still OK to keep on watching.

Tried watching it recently. It's fun in small doses but it's very repetitive. The first, second and third diagnosis is never correct and so you stop caring about what anyone is saying until later in each episode.
It also gets really predictable that when a patient is now seemingly doing great and everyone is smiling, they're about to have a seizure.

I like how the doctors are always breaking into houses.

I didn't watch very many episodes of House, but I liked what I did see.
I also happened to watch the last 2-3 episodes of the series, and I loved the way they ended it. That's how you end a story. Adventures ahead, but you know the finality of one storyline is coming soon.
Oh, I also like that one of the characters had a devastating ticking time bomb diagnosis. What a great idea for a character arc.

I absolutely hated it. Almost as bad as the HIMYM finale for ruining a show.

It's not a "bingeable" show, imo
I'm currently kind of binging it, and I agree. It's repetitive and generally very cynical, which makes it hard to watch for an extended period of time.
Then you have the characters they introduce as the "villains" like the Chi McBride character in season 1, or the cop in season 3. They're so over the top awful that they drag down the show. But it's because House is generally deplorable, so if you made those guys reasonable, you'd end up pulling for them over House.
I hated both of those running storylines.

I liked the one with the trumpet player. He got House even as he fought Houses's efforts to stop his DNR

Same show at the end as it is in the beginning, and the same as every other medical show. Misdiagnose, misdiagnose, finally get it right in the nick of time.
