Ozark and House of Cards. Both just got too stupid for words.

I'm also one that can usually finish a series out, even if its declined...

These are all ones I have watched at least one full season.

Walking Dead - I can't really remember when I stopped, but I lasted quite a few seasons..

Stranger Things - Not sure if Ive totally given up, but stopped around 3 episodes in to this last season and didnt start it until ~6 months after its release..

Yellowjackets - no interest in season 2

Westworld - no interest in season 2

Bosch - I enjoyed it, but sorta of last track where I was early on and there's other things to watch..

"Suits" - Same ole stuff every episode & season, after maybe 4 seasons i quit because it just got tiresome and not many redeeming qualities in the characters.

"Deputy" - This is one that I quit after 3 episodes. 3 episodes is my absolute minimum for a new show to try & let it find it's legs & flesh out the characters some. This was stupid & woke trash mixed in with every other conversation being a speech, just horrible

"House of Cards" - Never moved the needle for me, wife enjoyed & felt like it kept giving her surprising twists, but I felt like most were pretty predictable. Was hoping it would be good, just didn't do it for me

Stranger Things. Every season was the exact same storyline.

As a Stranger Things fan, I’m kinda hoping this upcoming season is the last one if done correctly. The show is good, actually really good, so if you’ve given up on it, give it another try.

I really enjoyed this last season. I hope it’s done right and they finish the story this season.

Some of the shows posted I think are mistaking a huge decline in quality with “giving up on.” IMHO, there’s no shame at bowing out of Suits around season 4. I noped out of Walking Dead at Negan. I really was struggling the previous season, and at that point I was just done.

I stuck GOT out til the end. I was happier with the ending than most.

I labored thru season8 of The Office and was rewarded by a solid Season 9 and possibly the best series finale ever put on screen.

I tried hard after Rick left, but can't say I enjoyed anything after.

Ted Lasso. Season 3 was unwatchable. Made it 5 episodes and gave up.

Ted Lasso. Gave up an episode or two into the final season. I was hoping at some point he would actually turn into a coach that actually cared about the sport he was coaching instead of an "aww shucks, I don't know, just give it your all" guy for an entire show.

Outlander. Bailed during or after season 4 when it just became an full blown soap opera. Was already on the soap opera side already but just got out of hand with it.

The Office. Couldn't bring myself to watch after season 7. I'm sure it was still funny, but I just couldn't watch without the worlds best boss.

Invasion. Not that I didn't like it, just for whatever reason gave up. Might pick back up on it at some point.

Stranger Things. I blame Mrs. Iwy for this one. It's "No don't watch it yet I'm going to watch it with you" thing. That's probably been over a year now, just need to go ahead and watch it.

Silo. Another one that was ok but I just got tired of. Good story in theory but the execution and acting was just off. Outside of Jessica Ferguson, it was some of the worst acting I've seen in recent memory.

Yellowstone. Pretty overrated show and I can't understand why this has such a cult following. Season 1 was already ridiculous and I quit early on in season 2 because of how unbelievable it was.

Vikings. Tried to push past a certain awesome character dying but I just couldn't get on board with the cripple being the ultimate badass. His character was so awful and the show drastically dipped in quality while trying to make you care about new main characters.

Put me down as one of the few that actually finished Westworld. I loved season one so much it caused me to stick it out in hopes that it would return to some of it's glory. Season 2 understandably caused most to drop out because of how ridiculously complicated it was but I will go down fighting that season 2 actually had about three episodes of TV that are about as good as TV can get. It was just over shadowed by the mess the rest of the season was.

Suits, probably a season after Mike got out of prison. I kept going out of morbid curiosity before giving up entirely.

Blackish, I quit watching at some point during the Trump administration. They always were a little preachy, but the ratio of preaching to comedy eventually got too much for me.

Brooklyn 99, they basically suicided the show post-covid and BLM summer of love BS. It was one of my favorite shows before, so I just pretend that last season doesn’t exist.

Cheers: I had to quit in season 3 because Dianne reminded me too much of a couple ex gfs. Her facial expressions were one, her words the other. Made it too painful for me.

House of Cards: I think I made it through the 4th season, but I wish I quit after 2.

The Simpsons: quit about 15 years ago. Every time I watch a recent-ish episode, I realize how right that decision was.

The Big Bang Theory: I quit this one around the time Leonard and Penny got married. The show was never good, but it was a compromise show between my long time gf and I. When we broke up, I stopped watching.

Family Guy: quit about 2 years ago. The show got progressively worse as Seth McFarland god less and less involved, but the past few seasons are unwatchable.

Naruto: so many of my friends love this show, but I just don’t get why. I hear it gets good later, but Naruto is just so annoying as a protagonist. I think I gave up around 20 episodes in. Maybe I just outgrew Shonin anime as an adult.

The Crown: I quit during the season after they changed actors the first time

Stranger Things: I quit mid/late Season 2. I don’t really care much for horror, snd it seemed to get creepier than I prefer.

Shows I wish I quit, but finished:
1. Game of Thrones: should have quit at the end of Season 5.

2. Treme: everything after season 1 was an abortion, and season 1 wasn’t that great

3. The O.C.: still entertaining in later seasons, but the quality starts to decline mid-season 1 and drops over time throughout the rest of the series. By season 4, it’s straight bad, but almost so bad it’s good. Shoulda quit after the shooting.

4. How I Met Your Mother: that ending ruined a perfectly okay sitcom

5. Ozark: it just kept getting more cartoony

Can’t seem to make it out of season 2.

I drop series like a lead balloon if they get out of character. Dexter, Ozark, Suits, Better Call Saul, Joe Pickett (strayed too far from the books), even Shameless.

Now my wife will soldier on, her bar for entertainment isn't as high.

I should start a spin-off thread of all the series she's tried to get me to watch: Walking Dead, GOT, Yellowstone, etc., but that I won't consider based on their premise.

I’ve never given up on one but these shows I have never finished due to moving and just life getting in the way:

The Wire
Spartacus
Black Sails
The Fringe

Once the original guy got sick on Spartacus it wasn’t the same but I moved and never got whatever Stars/HBO it was on again.
