Oh I would love to watch that story. Im surprised that hasn't been made already.

The movie I would like to see is based on a story I followed along with hard on the OT a few years ago.
It was like a kids soccer team in either a Phillipines or Thailand maybe, and they all got trapped deep into a cave for like 3 weeks because of a heavy monsoon.
I was pumped as hell when I saw they were all saved.

British attack on Washington in the War of 1812 and providential storm that engulfed the redcoats.

Benedict Arnold was a hero of the Revolution -- there is actually a monument to him at Saratoga. Why would he throw all that away?
Because of pussy. He and his wife loved living a high class life like she was born into but he couldn’t afford to keep up.

Of the multitudes of Civil war movies/miniseries made, I can't recall any that dealt with the Naval side of the conflict.
I know the Monitor vs. Merrimack/Virginia is the most well known story, but you could also do the development and mission of the Hunley, or Semmes and the CSS Alabama. Maybe even the CSS Shenandoah (38 ships sunk/captured/bonded and not surrendered until Nov 6 1865).

Pretty sure this was a TNT/TBS made for TV movie:
The Hunley

-The Battle of New Orleans
-The West Florida Revolt
-Aaron Burr Conspiracy or biopic
-Guy Fawkes Conspiracy
-The Founding and Settling of Liberia (crazy story- Freed American slaves who create their own nation, and end up as the master class, subjugating the native population- were a successful nation for a minute and a half in the late 19th century)

I would love to see a movie about the battle of Kursk. It was the largest tank battle ever fought between the soviets and the nazis. Would be amazing to see huge numbers of tiger and panther tanks fighting against masses of soviet T34’s.
This was just a small part of the battle but you can see the sheer number of tanks involved would be a sight to see on the big screen
quote:
As Soviet formations, including those from Fifth Army, put pressure on XLVIII Panzer Corps, the largest armored clash of World War II—involving the 294 armored fighting vehicles of II SS Panzer Corps and 616 Soviet tanks and self-propelled guns—ignited west of Prokhorovka. Here Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler Panzer Grenadier Division lunged forward and ran directly into what the commander of 5th Guards Tank Army, Lieutenant General Pavel Rotmistrov, described as “a cyclone of fire unleashed by our artillery and rocket launchers that swept the entire front of the German defenses.”
This was just a small part of the battle but you can see the sheer number of tanks involved would be a sight to see on the big screen

Great. I’d love a movie about my banging 100 supermodels in 100 days.

Hollywood needs to stick to make believe, I don't trust them not to spin history.

Another one that is not really one event, but I'd love to see a well made movie or mini-series based on the first couple books of Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series.
Particularly, the careers of Marius and Sulla and how they intertwined. Both fascinating characters who had great impacts on Rome (and really represented the beginning of the end of the republican form of government which Ceasar completed.) Plus they were both really interesting characters all the way up through their deaths.

I’d like more Greek Mythology content. I’d prefer a series with multiple stories intertwined

In 701 BC a Sudanese pharoah named Taharqa led a combined Sudanese-Egyptian army to Israel and defeated the army of Assyrians, freeing Jerusalem.
He and this event are mentioned in the Bible...would love to see this one day.

Netflix has a good documentary on the fall of Constantinople. Half documentary/half action.

I'd actually prefer long-form historical productions because they can actually tell the story much better than movies can nowadays, and with an equal budget to boot. With that said, I'd like to see a limited series on the following topics:
- The Maryland Campaign of 1862 and the Battle of Antietam
- Hernan Cortez's conquest of the Aztec Empire
- A Ulysses S. Grant biography series in the same vein as John Adams
- A Band of Brothers-style series following a British unit at the Battle of the Somme in 1916
- A limited series about the First Council of Nicaea (AD 325)
