What is this board's opinion of Ben Stiller? Is he great?

I'm a fan of his movies.

Heavyweights
Happy Gilmore (very small part but still funny)
The Cable Guy
There's Something About Mary
Meet the Parents
Zoolander
Dodgeball
Night at the Museum
Tropic Thunder
Secret Life of Walter Mitty

He also was a director and writer for some of those as well.

That is not a bad list at all.

Tony Perkis, Heavyweights, is probably my favorite part he’s played

I like his older work

Never cared for Zoolander

He has a new movie I want to see but can’t think of name at the moment

Brad's Status. I've heard it was ok, but I haven't seen it yet.

It looks like it is available on Prime.

I have a hard time liking this character on Heavyweights now, knowing that he's the one responsible for that abortion of a Ghostbusters reboot.

Dodgeball and Tropic Thunder are the only movies where he hasn't been annoying AF.

Along Came Polly is an underrated Stiller flick...

I've liked him since he had his own show on MTV back in the day. When he moved to Fox he picked up Andy Dick, Bob Odenkirk, and Jeanine Garofolo and it was hilarious.

He pretty much plays the perfect a-hole in both major senses of the word.

Owen Wilson getting the "Ben Stiller Lifeline" on Celebrity Deathmatch was one of the funniest jokes they made.

He’s incredibly underrated and also appears to be a decent individual as well.

There are some great movies on his resumé: Heavyweights, Night at the Museum, Zoolander, Dodgeball, Along Came Polly, There’s Something About Mary, etc...

A lot of great movies, I think Tropic Thunder is his best.

I know that he shouldn't get the blame for that Farrelly brothers abortion of The Heartbreak Kid, but I put some of that on Stiller. They raped a classic with that one.
