The Ben Stiller Show was one of the best sketch shows ever made. And he made a career out of weird, bizarre roles especially as small comedies. He was on his way to becoming a comedy god, but he got addicted to huge paychecks thanks to Meet the Parents. Can't blame the guy, but he's been coasting for over a decade with garbage like A Night at Museum, every so often throwing in a cool small role to remind us of what he is still capable of.

But I prefer to think of him as the guy behind Mystery Men and Zero Effect.

Wish I could post pics ... but they would probably lead to me being doxed. We took a ton of pictures especially during the scenes out on the dock and during the dance scenes because my Daughters were in those scenes.

And I gave Lauren a still shot I took of her when she walked into the dance scene and turned heads ... gave it to Lauren several years later, at a game, when she was a cheerleader. She loved it.

I mean it was interesting watching them film the movie. Stiller though ... lol, man that guy is a dick. I think he pissed off every restaurant owner in Hendo while that movie was being filmed.

He also took a shot at The South in one of his Museum movies ... when he was filming Heavyweights he was really triggered by all the Confederate flags flying around Hendo back then. It just set him off and he would come on set in the mornings enraged about the Confederate flags and our Southern accents. lol ... let's say he was easily triggered.

Lol, if Ben Stiller can't handle western North Carolina "southern" culture, he would go ballistic in other parts of the state.

Uhhhh, no. That wasn't going to happen with me around.

They were wall flowers ... that's literally what Steven called them, the wall flowers.

I'll tell you who is a really nice guy. That was Tim Nelson. (made famous in Oh Brother Where Art Thou.) He is a genuinely super nice guy and incredibly funny. Got along with everyone, was not against trying anything when it came to Southern food.

If i remember correctly only one of the fat kids actually kissed one of the girl campers on screen. Would have been hilarious if it was one of yours.

I never thought I’d feel this way, but his dad is flat out hilarious. His dad’s delivery and expressions are the best.

I love many movies Ben Stiller is in. Not so much his more recent work, but I’m definitely a fan. I even enjoy the meet the parents trilogy.

His best work is his Bono impression. 2nd is directing Reality Bites. Has probably 10 legit great credits on his resume. A bunch of good ones. But he’s been phoning it in the better part of 15 years and film or 2 excluded.

I never could figure out what that little maneuver with his left hand was supposed to be

Also, the scene where he yells at Steinbrenner for trading Jay Buhner:

I thought about that with Fockers, but even when he plays the romcom guy I still see the annoying jackwagon.

I'll tell you the fat kid who had us rolling on set ... Keenan Thompson. He had my second oldest daughter snorting she was laughing so hard at times. I mean you could tell, even at that age, he had comedic chops and the funniest facial expressions. A really nice, well-mannered, kid.

Heartbreak Kid is another great less-talked about Stiller movie.

He always gives me anxiety though. He's always a character that can't stop fricking up.

They should've named it something else. It has little to do with the original film or the short story.

The wife is supposed to be repulsive. I don't care how annoying Malin Akerman is, she's still out of Stiller's character's league.

He’s one of those actors that is uncomfortable to watch for me. Even more so that Adam Sandler. They’ve been good at having great costars to carry most movie.
