Something about Alexander the Great that doesn't suck would be nice.

I actually am surprised that we haven't seen a movie about John Brown's Raid.

I'd like to see a good movie about Napoleon or John Paul Jones

A Quentin Tarantino movie on the Munster Rebellion. Get Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicaprio, Christoph Waltz, and Margot Robbie. Would be fricking awesome.

There's never really been a good English-language movie about the French Revolution/Napoleonic Era or any of the numerous sub-plots around it (war in Spain, Haitian Revolution, Bolivaran Revolutions, invasion of Russia, Jacobin Terror, war in the Vendee, etc., etc.).
For that matter, the Thirty Years War was incredibly bloody and very important in world history, and you barely hear anything about it in English-language movies or books.

You already got the Johnny Horton song. Add Lafitte the pirate and boom, gold
A 13 year old Marie Laveau worked as a nurse and was mentioned in Anthony de Sedella(Pere Antoine)'s letters to Rome as knowing more about the treatment of fevers and infections than the trained physicians. So pirates and witches.
The Empress Theodora of Byzantium would make a great biopic but it couldn't really focus on an individual war or battle.

Battle of Fallen Timbers. 1792.

Battle Britain would be cool, France just fell, right on the heels of the Dunkirk evacuation, Brits alone with their backs against the wall, dog fights, some political intrigue and in fighting, Churchill, Brits using new technology and better skills to beat a far superior force...

I'd like to see a movie made from Steven Pressfield's Afghan Campaign.

One of the first films made after the US entered the war:
Would love to see a remake...although not a happy ending it was an incredible story.

War of the roses
The White Queen miniseries was pretty good. It starts immediately after the battle of Tewksbury where Edward IV won the throne and continues to Richard III's death at Bosworth Field. It's mostly told through the eyes of Elizabeth Woodville but Jeremy Irons' son Max is fantastic as Edward. The unknown Swedish chick who played Woodville was good too. And pure hotness. Starz collaborated on a follow-up The White Princess about Woodville's daughter Elizabeth of York and her marriage to Henry VII which ended the Wars of the Roses. But the cast wasn't nearly as good.
They're both on Prime.

The Battle of Mohi
Battle between the Mongols invasion of Kingdom of Hungary in 1241. But it would have to be done without Hollywood nonsense.
