What age did you start showing your kids marvel movies?

My 3yo is obsessed with Spider Man, Captain America and Iron Man and I want to show him the live action movies so bad.
Wife(no pics) saying he’s too young.

To young for what? Comic characters?

If he likes it, show him.

The live action films. Edited for clarity.

I mean, do you like those movies? Do you like the messages they stand for? Will your son understand what’s happening?
I like the movies enough but I would not be in a hurry to show my child them because they’re not movies I love to watch more than once.
And a kid will want to watch all 25 films in like a week.

Started all of them early on with daughter. Was a good run, until we were in the theater watching End Game and fat Thor made his appearance and my wonderful daughter yelled out "Dad, you look like Thor!"

My daughter has been watching Marvel movies with us for as long as she could talk. They're all family friendly, and if you can't handle your child hearing maybe one colorful word per movie, you have quite a life ahead of you trying to shield them from society.

Mine started around 3. They're now 5/6 and they've seen all of them. Worst thing to come of it is them wanting to recreate the Endgame battle over and over again. Oh and they also like to repeat lines with the word sh*t in it. I laugh and my wife yells.
Went to see No Way Home and Dr. Strange saying Scooby Doo this sh*t got repeated and made the crowd laugh a little more.

Exact same thing happened with me and my 4 year old.
Innocent little voice: "hahaha, please Scooby Doo this shite"

My kids started about 3, but I do remember taking my 3 year old son, who loved Captain America, to see Winter Soldier and he didn't like the scene where Bucky throws the guy out the car into the truck.
They are all pretty family friendly with an occasional curse word in there. I would recommend avoiding Eternals with a young kid, mostly because it sucks and is boring as hell, but it also has the most pigeon holed gay scene I have ever seen.

I've shown them to my 3 year old - who is obsessed mostly with Hulk but loves all the Marvel characters.
He really only cares about the fight scenes and there is enough dialogue to make sitting and watching the movie a drag.
TLDR - I would put on TV or Disney+ without thinking, but would not bring him to the theater

Thanks for the feedback.
I love all the movies(agree Eternals was garbage) and have no problem rewatching them!

This.
He'd enjoy Marvel Super Hero Adventures at his age.
I know you want him to hurry up and watch the adult movies with you, but he could be 8 or so before he wants to sit still through all of the dense dialogue.

I'd show it to him when he's old enough to not only comprehend it, but actually remember it.
When my nephew was 3, my uncle gave him the 1961 Babes In Toyland VHS. My nephew played the March of the Toys scene at least one million times (or it felt like it). My nephew is now 30 and said he doesn't remember any of it.
Plus, you only get one time for a certain scene/storyline to impact you, say like Darth's reveal to Luke. Don't waste those movie magic moments on a 3 y/o who, at best, will half-arse remember it, and the impact is gone when they rewatch it a few years later.

my 9 year old son got me to watch the first one with him back when the Avengers came out. So he talked me into letting him see them. We have gone together to all the MCU movies since. We just watched that Spiderman movie together on vaction and he is 19. All my sons like these movies.

Only one I've seen is Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). If they're all corny, the good guys win, exercises like it. I'd let my kids watch them if they were old enough to be in school. Would imagine they would enjoy talking about them with their friends.
