who the hell made the decision not to go with that episode? With all the filler we had in season 2a, that was what they chose not to show us?

Was it me, or did the walkers seem to be moving 3x faster than in past episodes when advancing on Rick and Shane? I can't believe the new guy retrieved off the fence is still alive. That dude is going to cause some problems if they allow him to live.

Could be the beginning of more interesting discoveries into the transmission of the virus. Most zombie flicks pretty much ignore this.

I read an interview with Andrew Lincoln not long ago where he said by the end of this season, Rick reveals what the doctor at the CDC told him and that it wasn't good news. That there was a reason Rick had been withholding the information from the group.

exactly...movement seems to be inconsistent. They were running in this last episode, while the ones coming out of the barn were moving slowly, one at a time, almost so as to be a shooting gallery...

Rick, Shane, and the whole bunch would be dead already if these zombies ran like the Olympic sprinters that populated "Dawn of the Dead".

This is my largest pet-peeve. I wish they would just keep it consistant. If it's one way that's fine, but stop changing it back and forth.

The ones in the barn perhaps weren't as fresh. Didn't the writer/director say fresh ones were more agile?

Zombies should be very slow. It's the hoard that's scary. Not Usain Bolt chasing you down solo.

I saw Robert Kirkman on The Talking Dead, and he said "newer" zombies would be able to move faster than "older" ones.

That was a big gripe on this board (and by me included) in season one when that one zombie straight up hopped the fence like a boss.

I get this, but if that's the case why does a small bite on the arm from a walker kill you and turn you? If everyone already had the virus, a bite from a zombie would be no different than a bite from anyone else.

When people on the show get bitten, they get sick, die, and come back as a walker.

In Walking Dead world, everyone probably has the Virus, when you die you come back as a Zombie. A zombie bite is like that of a Komado Dragon, full of bacteria from rotten flesh and what not. So the bacteria kills you and then when you die you turn.

Not all dead people have come back though, or at least not all that we've seen.

I guess one day they will explain it, or just leave it up to us to interpret.

i think there may be some type of trigger that is in the saliva of the walkers and when bitten it enters the bloodstream and activates the mutated zombie gene causing death and reanimation as a walker.

could explain the guards from the last episode, if you are scratched and get the saliva into your bloodstream you will die and turn it just may take a little longer.

Who the hell knows, its purely speculation and thats what makes this show great it doesn't follow the zombie norm of other movies or shows of the past.

With a moat outside the fence of course.
