In Walking Dead world, everyone probably has the Virus, when you die you come back as a Zombie.

too many dead bodies just laying around everywhere for this to be true.
soldiers outside CDC
People in cars on the interstate
People outside hospital when rick wakes up
people in the cars when rick is looking for gas and kills the little girl in the first episode.
Marlon said in the first or second episode that you become a walker when you get bitten if I'm correct, thats why he wanted to know about ricks bloody bandage.

it's gotta be something to do with the virus eventually mutating, becoming airborne, and or a hope/no hope for a cure.
Or it could be that he infected himself and he knew it hence blowing up the CDC.

It may have started with you having to be bit to turn into a zombie, but viruses can change and mutate over time, adapting to new environments. Why do you think we have to get a new flu shot every year?

Moat is on the outside of the fense. We don't want them be trapped on the inside. Keep them out.

<British actor David Morrissey has been cast as The Governor in the hit zombie series "The Walking Dead," AMC said Friday.
The Governor, from Robert Kirkman's "Walking Dead" comic book, is the leader of Woodbury, a survivor settlement. Eventually, The Governor becomes te chief antagonist of former sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes (portrayed by Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

The character is beyond creepy. (Warning: Spoilers galore in this paragraph.) In the comics, he keeps a zombified girl named Penny whom he says is his daughter, and at once point removes her teeth so he can kiss her. Readers of Kirkman's "Dead" novel, "Rise of the Governor" learned that the character, who calls himself Philip Blake, is actually impersonating his ruthless dead brother.

Yeah, he's a goner. Hope it happens like in the comic. Would really help to develop that character.

I really hope they get following the comics again. From what I've read it is setting up that way. I just hope they can go as dark as they need too.

well I'm guessing with gas being pretty rare, getting a fricking tank from atlanta to the farm could prove a tad difficult.

Good episode.
That premier episode that they bailed on sounds awesome.
Last night's episode seemed more cinematic than most of the others.
Really cool shots and was better put together (music, POV shots, etc.)

Gas isn't rare! I suppose every vehicle has run out of gas and no gas stations or fuel tankers have fuel? It just disappeared?

Maybe zombies drink gas when they can't get fresh brains to eat.
Or
Some selfish bastard filled his moat with gas.

By rare i mean it's no longer being produced so since they're having to fill up their vehicles with what they find I'd imagine it would be tough to find enough to fill up an entire tank and then drive it a couple hundred miles

I'm guessing not everyone is trained to drive a tank, not to mention the noise one makes would attract every walker within miles.
It would be cool to be able to just run over hordes of walkers with a tank.
