Then how did they become walkers? And why weren't they eaten?

They were shot, stabbed or beaten to death. Shane and Rick's inspection wasn't very thorough.

Yeah it's really only been like 5 days on the farm this season.

A.) A bunch of barn-zombies got killed
B.) A new group was seen in town, 3 of their people were killed and a 4th is likely to be killed.
C.) The town is still crawling with walkers.

But there were a lot of people killed at the hospital that didn't appear to turn into walkers

Not saying that their couldn't be people who are not infected, or cannot be infected. Have sex with someone who has HIV...are you going to get it? Most likely...but not 100% certain.

I am not saying your theory doesn't have merit....just playing catch 22.

What happens to someone if they are shot in the head when they are alive? Do they still become a walker?

No, brain needs to be intact.

I don't agree. To me it seemed they must have been infected another way...drinking water or something else. I wasn't convinced the guards had scratches.

Could be the beginning of more interesting discoveries into the transmission of the virus. Most zombie flicks pretty much ignore this.

And my plan would be to get to an island.

That didn't work too well in "Dawn of the Dead". They pull up to the dock, out of gas, and zombies rush out of the forest...goodbye!

When Rick mentioned winter coming, it reminded me of World War Z--everyone moved up north because the zombies would freeze...

...until spring, when they thawed and went on a rampage again.

Thought the same thing.

Didn't realize till last night that there are only like three episodes left. That sucks because the story hasn't progressed much at all this season (even though I am enjoying it a lot).

It was just something I read in another thread so it's not my theory, but could explain it.

If it's the drinking water, the folks at the farm are in trouble. Aren't they getting water from the well where this guy was swimming?

No. They have I think 4 different wells, and closed that one up after that incident.

i finally figured out how i could enjoy this show. I only watch the scenes that have Shane, Daryl or Rick in them. Skip everything else. Its a 30 minute show and is pretty good.

Obviously Rick was coming back for Shane, but I really thought he was gonna cap the kid and then come back.

I thought he was going to do to that kid what Shane did to Otis and use him as bait.
