Funny how Maggie killed a prisoner for revenge but it just happened to not be the biggest troublemaker they have in there.

I just turned it on to watch last nights episode, and they have a commercial during the first break advertising their own app, and it spoils the ending.
I'm pissed
What’s funny/stupid is that I was watching The Goonies on AMC a little while ago and a commercial came on for the AMC website. It was flashes of the show and it said “Alexandria was bombed,” “Negan & Lucille vs. Rick,” and then “Carl got bitten.” Showed all three things. And then a voiceover comes on and says “If you missed it, watch it right now on AMC’s site” or whatever. And all I could think was if someone hadn’t watched it, you literally just spoiled the entire episode.
Also, was that the same little girl that played Judith earlier in the season? I swear when I saw her last night I felt like she had aged even more (while Maggie still isn’t showing AT ALL).

Well I finally give in. I'm finished. I can't stand this show anymore.

The crazy thing is that Gimple was supposed to save the show. I think he was given the keys because he got credit for writing some of the more critically well received episodes.

That's about as bad as Showtime spoiling the last 30 seconds of the season finale of Dexter season 6. The discs had an ad you couldn't fast forward showing this scene (Deb finding out). Total a-hole move.

Well this show is beyond retarded now and obviously just wasting time to sell commercials. Zero effort in story telling. I wash my hands of it and leave it to the birds.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened, same commercial. They put that in the very first break. Like wtf, yeah I am literally catching up to see this on the AMC app. It's less than 24 hours after first air, and why would I even need to catch up with the show when you just highlighted everything that happened.
That said, I have kept up with this show and haven't really bashed it. But will echo that this mini season has been crappy filler. This is apparent now with the finale.
Most importantly, what I think is most apparent is how flawed Rick is. It was a bad plan, not everyone was on board, and it failed. His plans keep failing. The "good guys" may "win", but at what cost?
They have lost their homes and a ton of people. They have also poisoned any potential relationship with the surviving saviors and even the workers for the saviors.
50 cal machine gun that took out an entire faction of your fighters in seconds? No, we don't need it, let's just stick to the plan of waiting these bad guys out, largely unsupervised until they give their leader up.
Why was negan not gunned down when he escaped the shed? Because in ricks stupid plan, he has to be the one to kill him, which he has shown he is incapable of doing.
Like I said, I have not bashed the show yet this season, but it has gotten bad. How long have Negan and the saviors been around at this point? I am just getting fatigue from this lingering storyline, and don't see myself reinvesting for another group of challenges.
I'm thinking of just reading comic plots synopsis and calling it a day. This show is a soap opera, but only has 16 shows a year. Simply not enough plot development

I'm so sick of the longing face montages.
These were awful. When they did it again at the end of the episode, I literally just fast forwarded through that segment. Just so dumb and cheesy.

I've been thinking back and I don't think I've ever stuck with a show after it has gone downhill so badly. Usually, I'm out after 1 or 2 seasons for all but shows I really like.
For some reason I can't really explain, I've stuck with this one through one hell of a downfall. Heck, I may even tune in for the 2nd half of the season. If for no other reason, I can watch the slow motion train wreck that it's looking like it will be.

So many good posts about the all problems with the show. I think the root problem is the characters. The show has a serious problem with ruining good characters, focusing on the wrong characters, and lack of character development. However, often a character will evolve or change with little to no background or reasoning.
Rick: His immunity to death allows the writers to put him in illogical situations. The garbage people should have never been written into the show. The show could have cut their losses and have them decimated during the siege of Alexandria last season. Instead, half of Rick's time so far this season has been spent dealing with them again. Did they advance the story at all? No.
Then the encounter with Negan should have been a huge moment. Rick even possesses Negan's iconic bat at one point, but both characters are immune to death at this point. Rick simply disappears out a window after he grabs his gun. The show can't have Rick & Negan fight for too long or they'll be forced to write a resolution, so Invincible Rick, with gun, runs away. He'll walk right into a den of garbage people for no logical reason, but runs away when he once again has the advantage over Negan.
Rosita: Not sure why she is even on the show. She goes from stupid instigator, to pacifist eye candy, with very little reasoning for either.
Michone: Used to be one of the more interesting characters on the show. She always had a dark and mysterious aura about her, but now she just sulks and serves zero purpose.
Tara: Why has she become a main character? She is a terrible actress. Everyone involved in the show should make every effort to limit her lines as much as possible. She should be nothing more than a recognizable character in the background.
Jesus: Another interesting character they have ruined.
Daryl: What are his motivations? Does he care about the group, or does he just want to kill Saviors? Has he done anything to advance the plot? Is his agenda in sync with Rick's, but he has his own plans to achieve the same goal?
This post turned out a lot longer than I intended, but I could have gone into more detail and listed problems with every other character.

She's very strong.
Seriously, I liked her scene with Rosita, who just piled it on as life in their world does. All you can do is grin and bear it as best you can.

Tara should have never woken from the coma she was in
It would have brought closure to a Eugene and Glen subplot. Got her out of there, etc.
They say she was necessary for the Oceanside, but..No she wasn't. That community could have easily replaced the trash people.

At this point, these threads are the only entertainment I get from the show.
I never understood 'hate-watching' until now.

Oh god the threads for The Following were the only thing about that show. But that show was a disaster from jump unlike this.

The Following was awesome. I think it's just a TD thing and a wave starts. Most of these never again people will be right back next year.

Watched the first season, and it was one of the dumbest shows I’ve ever watched. Seemed like every 5 seconds something happened that made no sense.
