Comedy

The Americans is the best series finale for a drama series.

Black Sails. Brilliant ending and a perfect series length.

Firefly had a great last season. And a great last episode that influenced them to make a movie.

I'll see myself out.

The Last Kingdom. The ending was satisfying.

Did not stick the landing - How I Met Your Mother. Gotta be one of the worst.

Everyone knew Robin & Ted were gonna end up together, the daughter was a mirror image of her, then the writers tried to get cute & interject a fast one… fail.

Parks and Recreation

What was supposed to be the original Parks and Rec series finale I agree with. Like Scrubs, squeezing out that last season after everything had been wrapped up so perfectly was unnecessary.

With that said, that extra Parks and Rec season was miles better than the extra Scrubs season which felt more like a spin off.

perfect example of a tv show that ran exactly the right amount of seasons.

Depends which "last season" you're talking about.

There was only one clear last season and then an inferior spinoff that only lasted one season afterwards that the show creator wanted to just call "Med School" but the network wanted to draft off of Scrubs notariety so they made them call it Scrubs: Med School. In retrospect, if they would've let it fly on its own, it may have found its footing without the crushing weight of carrying the name of one of the GOAT sitcoms.
