I recnetly rewatched S1 and I don't think the ending was near as bad as I felt it was in real time. We get answers to the tuttles and the schools and everything that had been going on. Sure it may have been "quick", but I mean how else should it have been? The whole series had led up to this conclusion, then it concludes. I don't think, on the rewatch anyway, that it felt forced or too quick. Then after the final action we get the denouement final act of marty and rust tying up their loose ends.

And yes, the cheek piercings of the black chick immediately took me out of it and made it difficult to take seriously. That just looks so stupid that I laugh every time they showed her.
The trailer looked pretty good, but I suspect I'd have trouble taking it seriously with someone looking that stupid on my screen the whole time. May give it a shot though.

I wasn't talking about her looks. I just meant she has gone downhill as an actress. She was a great actress with the potential to be an all-time great...but sadly, she kinda fizzled out. I know she intentionally took a step back from the limelight to focus on family (good on her), but her acting suffered.

Love the setting. I’m with everyone else in saying it looks like Foster’s side kick is horribly miscast. Looks like they are bringing the creepy cult type shite back.

Better leads and I'm getting aroused at this. But I hate Jodie Foster (for no real tangible reason) and the other woman doesn't really fit backwoods Alaska setting for me.
Still, I'll watch every episode
