i have rewatched it 4 times already just this month and still havent tired of it yet.

i watched top gun first and then TG maverick second the last two times and it makes for a great afternoon to avoid the DNC news propaganda and all the BS going on

Jesus I didn't realize The Force Awakens was so much ahead of everyone else on that domestic box office list.

It's doing it the same way too (well, sort of) by virtue of its amazing longevity. Been a while since I've seen a movie just constantly strong like this.

It has been a very impressive run to be sure, and I'm glad it's doing so well at the box office as the movie deserves it. However, while Top Gun: Maverick has surpassed Titanic at the all-time domestic box office, it still doesn't compare when you adjust the two films for inflation:

Titanic - $1,270,101,626
Top Gun: Maverick - $662,486,307

Titanic sold over 135 million tickets in its initial run in the United States.

Thanks for pointing that out, it is annoying when people do this and think it is a big deal

Top Gun Maverick is sitting at #39 really.

It is impressive to have done this coming out of Covid and rise of streaming. I would love to see it get into top 25, needs to hit $740 million

Are these numbers adjusted for inflation?

It's the strangest run because it was fueled by young girls and grandmas who just kept going to see it.

We went to see Top Gun again when the weather turned bad this weekend and there was nothing to do. Was expecting an empty theater so long after its release, but instead the place was nearly half full. People just like this movie.

My son is currently seeing for the fourth time happily.

I’ve only seen it once but he had a friend over and there was nothing else out they haven’t seen, and he said let’s see TG:M again.

Glad for it doing this well.

And guys whose girlfriends loved it and were down for sexy time after the show.

*Saw it three times. At least.

It also happens to be one of the greatest achievements in the history of filmmaking.
