It also happens to be one of the greatest achievements in the history of filmmaking.

Meh...Depends how you feel what CGI had done to movies.

But I saw a chart about moviegoers to Titanic...And the amount of Octogenarians (remember when? I member) and young girls for Leonardo was through the roof.

The pie chart sweet spot was 16-24 year girls and 65 and over women. Its the only Blockbuster in modern times that wasn't driven by comic-book young males.

Every 13 year old girl in America probably saw Titanic 9 times.

DiCaprio from about 97-99 was probably the biggest teen idol of the last 40 years. It's hard to fathom now, but it was absolutely the case.

The Top Gun train has no brakes. Should come in 3rd for the weekend; it’s 12th weekend at the box office. It was the only movie to make more on this Friday than it did last Friday.

It’s been pretty incredible to watch the staying power it’s had.

Based upon his dating selections, he may still qualify.

The movie didn't have the massive advertisements that other movies had because it was meant to be streamed. The movie did really well considering it wasn't hammered to death with the public but relied a lot on nostalgia from the first movie and word of mouth.

It's the strangest run because it was fueled by young girls and grandmas who just kept going to see it.

Top Gun: Maverick is fueled by young boys and grandpas who just keep going to see it.

Discuss.

Went and saw it with my son for the first time yesterday and our theater was bout 3/5ths full, which is pretty impressive for a film that has been out for over 2 months.
