Stinks that it takes that for her to actually make money in this world.
Good for her. The week after this she opened for Bonnie McFarland at The Comedy Mothership in Austin.
She did mention that I had more Xwitter followers than her. She was very nice...after the show. Unlike her insult stand-up routine. I am not the biggest fan of female comics but I like her.

Honest to God, this reminds me of our local tire shop since the original owner sold it to a rich guy that wanted something for his kid to do. Shouldn’t be long and that tire place will become the 5th business they have sunk.

I'd never heard of shane gillis but gave this show a watch over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I hate it was only 6 short episodes but I really dug it.
I read through this thread and a small bit elsewhere just to see what other people were saying, and one thing nobody has mentioned is the main character Will's hands..I wonder if that guy was an OLineman growing up because his hands and fingers were so jacked up it's almost distracting ha.

she's for sure funny. good riffer.
I know you have a relationship with Jim Norton and she was always a welcome guest. haven't had Sirius for 6 or so years now though.

Thanks I'll check those out.
Another thing I forgot to mention which I don't recall seeing elsewhere is how muc shane gillis (in this show anyway, can't speak to his standup or anything else) sounds like danny mcbride. Sometimes it was almost like he was attempting to be a kenny powers clone. Not that that's a negative mind you, just something I noticed and couldn't help but see every time he talked.

He has a funny bit on a podcast where he talks about how he was invited to a Scout combine for top recruits in PA, WV, and Ohio.
Prior to the combine he had never been timed running a 40, his coach had just written 5.0 or 4.9 as his time.
Then he goes to the Scout event and one of the DBs at West Virginia who probably runs a real 4.5 is in charge of timing everyone, and when Shane runs a 6.1 40, and he heard the DB just say “damn” with pity and no mocking because of how bad that time was, Shane said that’s when his D-1 major dream died
I think he went to West Point and quit after a few weeks and then played D-2 or D-3

Love Shane and Stav. I enjoyed it for what it was. Stavros was great. It’s definitely rough around the edges but so were some real great comedies in their first seasons with Parks and Rec coming to mind. I’m sure it’ll get a lot better in season 2 but it had some really funny parts for sure.

Funny you say this. Roughhouse Pictures helped produce this show which was founded by Danny McBride, Jody Hill, and David Gordon Green.

That was so distracting to me as well, luckily overall the show was funny enough to make up for it.

Also I’m sad they got rid of the racist mechanic so soon
he could’ve been a racist Creed type character

I saw her open for Jim at The Comedy Mothership last July.
I am loving hearing the local references...things that stand out:
Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown
202- The road I lived on for 2 years which I posted a picture of my apartment complex
Belmont and in Belmont Park
Ardmore is in Montgomery County and that is where Lower Merion High School is located (Kobe Bryant)
West Chester- home of QVC
The 1st episode was weak...but its growing on me. I will finish it tonight. Hell...I am gonna try to get on an Episode come Season 2....more about that later!

Reddit-types would say there is additional information to call that into question.

Love me some Shane Gillis and love workplace comedy like The Office and Parks and Rec, but just two episodes in and this is pretty weak. I'll keep going for sure but a little disappointed because I had high expectations.
Kind of unfair to judge it on 2 episodes though, I mean Parks and Recs entire first season was semi weak, it didn't pick up until season two. Maybe this will just take some time to hit it's stride because it feels slightly rushed. Not sure if that's how to describe it but the writing just doesn't seem up to what I would expect from something Gillis did.
Also the manager just isn't funny. Maybe he gets better but right now he's just pretty obnoxious bad actor.
