It finds it's way by the end. Imagine if we gave up on PnR after season 1. Will and Shane's dynamic gets better and Will gets better as a character. I hope season 2 is more than 6 episodes.

This show needs 12 episodes or more for season 2. I think we need to keep in mind that this is Gillis' and friends first show in this kind of format. They are great at skits, but that's a different animal than a sitcom. They need time to find their legs.

I think the Manager is playing his part ok. He does need to be more likeable, kind of like how Michael Scott was a doofus but also had many endearing qualities that made him likeable. You could tell he always meant well, even though what came out of his mouth was offensive at times. I think that's kind of what they are trying to do with the Manager.

Love me some Shane Gillis and love workplace comedy like The Office and Parks and Rec, but just two episodes in and this is pretty weak. I'll keep going for sure but a little disappointed because I had high expectations.

exact same feelings

I was excited to watch this and basically forced my wife to watch it and she was like "is this supposed to be funny?" and I couldn't really argue with her...

I thought it was pretty good.

Damnit! I only read the title and thought that we were getting the new season in 2 weeks. Then opened up the thread to see myself as the OP.

Can't wait for the next season. One of the only good sitcoms on in 2026.

this might be the truest thing i read today. they literally need a tire storefront, garage, and an occasional Chili's or wherever Shane and his dad eat at.

solid comedy.

my son's and i send:

to each other anytime anybody says anything moderately kind to each other.

Agree. What’s funny is that they are kinda just being themselves in the show, which is why it works so well.
