Now that I think about it, I think it's about the coaching difference. US Sports, the coach is constantly making adjustments, giving advice, etc. Football (Soccer), if you haven't made your point in the week leading up the match, there's pretty much nothing you can do. They're executing strategy or not.

Loved the scene where he's going all Gene Hackman in Hoosiers telling them the field is the same size in the big stadium only to be immediately interrupted and told the field in that arena was actually much larger.

Season 1 had one of the best "scenes" I've ever watched in any medium ever, if you haven't gotten to it, it involved a dart board.

Season 2 also has some of the best lines and solidifies itself as a show to keep watching - Roy Kent in season 2 is even better than season 1 and I can honestly say I didn't expect that.

Excuse me what the frick?

Am I misreading or are you saying soccer coaches don't make in-game adjustments to personnel or strategy?

Dart board scene is top notch. Really great acting by all in that scene and a great message.

the show is basically therapy for Sudakis in his divorce from Wilde so i think we see some genuine emotion from him.

Show is phenomenal.

It seems like hyperbole, but it really is one of the best and one of my most favorite scenes I have ever seen....Barbecue Sauce

I loved season one and I think it ruined the show for me beyond that. His "dart game" speech was one of the best TV moments I've seen in recent years and showed a nice other dimension to Ted's character that seemed to all but vanish in the second season, when he was an all-in airhead. It was ok, just not at the level of the first season. Roy Kent, yeah. Great character perfectly played.

It’s one of the best shows in the last 5 years if not THE best.

Incredible.

Hilarious we got all this from a kind funny commercial.

Nick Mohammed deserves all of the praise in the world for how well he has played that character for 2 seasons.

I could not agree more. That’s why I was saying the character can frick off. Not the actor. He (the actor) has been great.

Yeah, the scenes where Lasso is suddenly serious, angry, or sad are all great. Showing the depth and the hurt of someone who on the surface appears to unflappably optimistic.

It hit me kind of hard when, after the season 2 finale, he posted that tweet explaining the process of everything leading up to Nate's turn. You could tell it was his way of saying "Hey guys, Nate's an a-hole, but I'm not." and was just trying to get in front of some social media hate that was coming his way.

Dude has been a comedian/comic actor his entire career, but that scene where he is fighting back tears when Ted confronts him was played so well.

Single greatest scene in the show is when Lasso is finally opening up, and talking to the doc.

"He quit."

Oooooooooof.

And yet Ted sort of quit on his kid too. Maybe they will address that next season.

I was hesitant to watch it as for some reason I'm not a big Sudekis fan.

Got bored one day a few months back and gave it a go. I think I finished the 3 seasons in a week.

Outstanding show.

Saw Coach Beard at Albertsons last week ... dude had a goofy sports hat on and sneakers walking frantically toward the aisles. Very much in character. And very good show.

One of the greatest comedy/drama series in a long, long time.

The showrunner, Bill Lawrence, was also being Scrubs, so it's no surprise that he's killing it blending fantastic, goofball comedy with tear-jerking dramatic moments. Just a fricking master of that.
