I'm not sure if it's the characters or the story itself but I can't stop watching.

Absolutely love it. Roy Kent is awesome. Another character can frick right off but I won’t spoil who for those who haven’t seen it. For those who have, they know who I’m talking about.

Laughed so hard at this scene

I won't spoil the scene but as someone who has worked from home three last 3 years I noticed my wife laughed a little too hard at the scene where Roy's reading the book.

I got the point.

I would love it if sports talking heads were this honest in their analysis:

I think Keeley is the true star of the show. I thought early on she was gonna be some pointless bimbo, but she’s so good.

Her “I’m Roy Kent and I’m always angry” imitation was so spot-on.

One of my favorite shows in the past few years. Roy Kent is top tier character. Was surprised how deep season 2 got at times, but the show did a great job at balancing those moments with comedy.

It’s a great show. It needed a bad guy and having Nate emerge as that person over S2 was really well done. Roy Kent and Keeley make that show great.

Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 still worth watching but not nearly as funny IMO.

Should probably edit for spoilers here, or OP should add the tag.

Great show, can't wait for the next season. Extremely well written and acted.

The show works since they have great characters and the storyline is engaging, I wish the chucklefricks in Hollywood would take note. Jason Sudekis is top notch in this show.

Probably the best written show ever. I’ve watched every episode at least three times and catch something new each time. Roy Kent is my spirit animal.

Is it? Half of the joke of the show is that Lasso has no f*%$@ idea about soccer, just about people.

Is it? Seems like the show tries to be as little about soccer as possible

I don’t think you have to understand the sport to enjoy it. I guess knowing the culture helps it be familiar but it certainly isn’t a requirement. The background and setting is a soccer club, but the on the field stuff is definitely only a tertiary story to the other stuff.

Nick Mohammed deserves all of the praise in the world for how well he has played that character for 2 seasons.

alot of the jokes you won't get if you're not familiar with football culture.
